Moves to IR Pinto (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.

Impact Ottawa recalled Hayden Hodgson from AHL Belleville in a corresponding move. Pinto sustained the injury in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers. He will miss at least the next three games, starting with Saturday's matchup against St. Louis, after landing on the IR list. However, it's unclear when he will return to the lineup. Pinto has 12 goals, 18 points, 65 shots on net, 18 blocked shots and 34 hits across 27 appearances this season.

Impact Pinto has three goals over the first five games of the Senators' current road trip. He's up to 12 goals, 18 points, 61 shots on net, 30 hits, 16 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 24 appearances this season. Pinto has often seen far more ice time than his third-line assignment would suggest -- he's averaging a career-high 19:33 per game -- which should help him continue to produce at a strong rate.

Starts, ends game well Pinto scored a goal on two shots and racked up nine hits in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Golden Knights.

Impact Pinto was excellent both early and late in this contest. His tally 51 seconds into the game opened the scoring, and he also had the only shootout goal for either team to secure the Senators' win. He's scored three times over his last six games and could be heating up again after a goal drought earlier in November. The 25-year-old center has 11 goals, 17 points, 57 shots on net, 29 hits, 16 blocked shots and 12 PIM over 23 appearances this season.

Impact Pinto has tallied twice over three games since signing his four-year, $30 million contract extension. The 25-year-old center remains in a middle-six role for the Senators. His goal-scoring pace has slowed a bit, but he remains productive all-around with a dash of physicality and an uptick in playmaking. He's at 10 goals, six helpers, 52 shots on net, 18 hits, 15 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a plus-1 rating through 20 appearances, putting him well on his way to a career year.

Impact Pinto snapped an eight-game goal drought with a tip-in at the 1:06 mark of the third period.
