Returning against Canucks Girard (undisclosed) will be in the lineup for Thursday's clash with Vancouver, Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now reports.

Impact Girard will be back in action following a four-game stint on the shelf due to his undisclosed injury. Despite having generated just one of his 23 points this season with the man advantage, Girard is expected to link up with the No. 2 power-play. Still, there isn't enough offensive upside here to make Girard a viable option in most fantasy contests.

Remains unavailable against Vegas Girard (undisclosed) will not be an option versus the Golden Knights on Tuesday, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.

Impact Girard will miss his fourth straight game due to his undisclosed injury and is running out of time to play again in the regular season. While the blueliner has managed 23 points this year, the bulk of that scoring was at the start of the 2024-25 campaign, as he has managed just three points in his last 19 outings. With Josh Manson (upper body) also sidelined, the Avs will utilize Keaton Middleton and Erik Johnson on the third pairing.

Impact Girard is currently mired in a 19-game goal drought during which he managed just three assists and 20 shots. Between his injury absence and the offensive slump, the 26-year-old blueliner looks poised to miss the 30-point mark for the second straight year. If Girard remains out Tuesday, Keaton Middleton should continue to feature in the third pairing.

Impact Girard snapped a three-game dry spell on offense, though he also missed two games in that span due to a lower-body injury. The 26-year-old defenseman is playing in a third-pairing role for now, but he often sees top-four minutes as a more established option than Sam Malinski or Keaton Middleton. Girard is up to 23 points, 86 shots on net, 100 blocked shots, 55 hits and a plus-7 rating through 68 outings.

Impact Girard obtained the puck and set up Valeri Nichushkin on the Avalanche's empty-netter to close out the scoring. The 26-year-old Girard picked up some slack Friday when Josh Manson (upper body) left the contest, and he'd likely have the most ice time to gain if Manson misses additional time. This was Girard's second straight game with a helper after an 11-game point drought. He's at 22 points, 79 shots on net, 89 blocked shots, 52 hits and a plus-7 rating over 64 appearances.

Snaps slump with helper Girard provided an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Wild.

Impact Girard had gone 11 games without a point prior to Tuesday. His role has been shrinking -- he was under 20 minutes of ice time for a third straight game, though he still finished with more (18:32) than Ryan Lindgren (16:08) as the two compete for time in the bottom four on the left side of the Avalanche's defense. Girard has limited fantasy upside, but he has produced 21 points, 79 shots on net, 88 blocked shots, 52 hits and a plus-7 rating across 63 appearances this season.

Role shrinking due to slump, trades Girard's point drought reached 11 games in Monday's 3-0 win over the Blackhawks.

Impact Girard's role has shrunk recently, in part due to his slump but also because of the Avalanche's acquisition of Ryan Lindgren, who has functioned in a top-four spot. This has bumped Girard down to the third pairing -- he's been under 20 minutes of ice time in each of the last two games. Girard should still be able to fend off Keaton Middleton for playing time, but the role reduction hurts his fantasy value. For the season, Girard has 20 points, 77 shots on net, 87 blocked shots, 52 hits and a plus-6 rating over 62 appearances.
