Impact Steel is drawing into the lineup for the first time since March 26. He has 12 goals and 33 points in 72 appearances with the Stars in 2025-26. Adam Erne is also drawing into the lineup after being a healthy scratch Monday versus Toronto. Arttu Hyry and Colin Blackwell are expected to be scratched Wednesday.

Questionable for Wednesday Steel (hip) is questionable to play in Wednesday's road clash against the Sabres, per Robert Tiffin of D Magazine.
Impact Steel has begun traveling with the team and it was noted that he has a chance to appear in Wednesday's regular-season finale. When healthy, the 28-year-old center has 12 goals, 33 points, 82 shots on net, 77 hits and 29 blocked shots across 72 games this season. If Steel ends up missing his ninth consecutive game Wednesday, there's a chance that he's being held out to be at 100 percent ahead of Dallas' first-round matchup in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Not expected back soon Steel's (hip) timeline for a return to the lineup has yet to be determined, but he is not expected to suit up in the short term, Owen Newkirk of DLLS Sports reports Tuesday.
Impact Steel missed games in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia after getting hurt on Long Island on Thursday. At this point, the Stars may focus on making sure Steel is ready to go for the postseason, as head coach Glen Gulutzan conveyed Tuesday that an optimistic outlook for Steel's timeline for a return to the lineup would be within the next 10 days.

Won't play on road trip Steel (undisclosed) has returned back to Dallas and will not play for the remainder of the three-game road trip, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports Friday.

The 28-year-old forward continues to do well in a middle-six role, offering depth scoring with a little physicality to balance the Stars' offense. Steel has 12 goals and 32 points, both career highs, while adding 79 shots on net, 74 hits, 24 PIM, 26 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 67 appearances.

One of each Thursday Steel scored a goal and recorded an assist in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Oilers.
Impact Steel secured his third multi-point outing of March on Dallas' first two goals Thursday, including the one he scored 13 minutes into the contest. The pair of points brought the 28-year-old center up to 11 goals, 31 points, 76 shots on net, 70 hits and 25 blocked shots across 65 games this season. He has soared since Jan. 27 with four goals, 12 points, 22 shots on net and 17 hits across his last 13 games. His recent performances make him a virtual lock to play middle-six minutes for the remainder of the season, which is another reason he is a great waiver-wire addition for the time being.

Three points in win Steel recorded two goals, an assist and three shots on goal in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Flames.
Impact Steel has recorded multi-point performances in back-to-back games for the first time this season. The winger has been outstanding of late and has taken full advantage of the Stars' red-hot play. He has cracked the scoresheet in six of his last nine outings, tallying 10 points (three goals, seven assists) overall. He's a player worth adding as a streaming option in some formats, but it's unclear if he'll be able to keep this up over a prolonged stretch, thus generating some concern over his upside for the rest of the season.

Impact Steel has three points over three games since play resumed following the Olympic break. The 28-year-old forward continues to fill a versatile role for the Stars, which has included a bit of extra ice time while the team is short-staffed up front. He's up to 26 points, 69 shots on net, 63 hits, 20 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 60 appearances this season.

Finds twine Wednesday Steel scored a goal and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Kraken.
Impact Steel stretched the Stars' lead to 3-0 with the middle tally of a three-goal burst in a span of 4:31 early in the second period. The 28-year-old went 13 games without a goal prior to the Olympic break, earning seven assists during that stretch. For the season, he has eight goals, 24 points, 65 shots on net, 59 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 58 appearances. That's in line with his usual full-season production, so it's possible this will be the first year he hits the 30-point mark.

He's at 22 points, 61 shots on net, 55 hits, 23 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 54 appearances. He's up to seven goals, 19 points, 48 shots on net, 47 hits, 20 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 46 appearances. Steel is on pace to earn his first 30-point campaign.
