Inks three-year contract
Johnston signed a three-year, $6 million contract with the Blues on Wednesday, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.
Impact
Johnston had three goals, 14 points, 107 PIM and 192 hits in 62 regular-season outings with Anaheim in 2025-26. The 32-year-old should be in the mix for a fourth-line spot with the Blues, but he'll probably also spend a fair amount of time as a healthy scratch.

ROTOWIRE
Available for Round 2
Johnston (lower body) is seemingly available for the second round of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports Monday.
Impact
Johnston hasn't played since March 10 against Winnipeg, but he has been a regular at playoff practices. According to Cavanagh, head coach Joel Quenneville said ahead of Game 6 of Round 1 against Edmonton on Thursday that Johnston was "capable of playing." However, it seems that Johnston will be a healthy scratch for Monday's Game 1 matchup against Vegas.

Remains sidelined for Game 6
Johnston (lower body) will not be an option for Game 6 against the Oilers on Thursday, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Impact
Johnston has been sidelined for 23 games dating back to March 10 versus the Jets, and will be out of action for a 24th. Prior to getting hurt, the 32-year-old winger was mired in an eight-game goal drought during which he recorded a lone helper and a meager three shots.

Set to miss out versus Oilers
Johnston (lower body) is expected to remain out of the lineup versus the Oilers in Game 5 on Tuesday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
Impact
Johnston has been on the shelf since March 10 versus the Jets due to his lower-body injury. Prior to getting hurt, the 32-year-old winger was mired in a seven-game pointless streak during which he managed just three shots. Even if Johnston is cleared to return, he could struggle to break back into the lineup, especially if the Ducks keep winning.

Johnston (lower body) won't be in the lineup for Game 3 against Edmonton on Friday, per Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune.
Impact
Johnston hasn't played since March 10 because of the injury. He had three goals, 14 points, 107 PIM and 192 hits in 62 regular-season appearances in 2025-26. Johnston is likely to serve on the fourth line once he's healthy.

Impact
Johnston is expected to play at some point in the first round, but it won't happen Wednesday. He has been participating in team skates this week. The 32-year-old's next chance to play is Friday in Game 3, though it's not yet clear if he'll be in the lineup for that contest.

Ruled out for Game 1
Johnston (lower body) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 1 against Edmonton, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
Impact
Johnston fully participated in Monday's morning skate, but he'll remain sidelined to begin the playoffs as he continues to deal with a lower-body issue. However, head coach Joel Quenneville said Monday that he expects Johnston to play at some point during the Ducks' first-round series, so the 32-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now.
