Called up by Minnesota Lorenz was recalled from AHL Iowa on Friday.

Impact Lorenz had a strong start to the year in the AHL, recording two goals, an assist and a plus-3 rating over his first two regular-season appearances with Iowa. He hasn't yet made his NHL debut but will be called up to provide additional depth after Nick Foligno (upper body) was placed on injured reserve and Tyler Pitlick was sent down Friday.

Tallies twice in AHL opener Lorenz scored two goals in AHL Iowa's 4-3 shootout loss to Texas on Friday.

Impact Lorenz made three appearances late in the 2025-26 campaign for Iowa. He spent the bulk of last year with the University of Denver, earning 35 points over 43 games in his senior year of college. He'll now look to keep his scoring success up as he adjusts to the AHL, and he's off to a fantastic start.

Inks two-year deal Lorenz agreed to terms on a two-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota on Wednesday.

Impact Lorenz is fresh off winning a second National Championship with Denver, having racked up 16 goals and 18 assists in his senior campaign. Selected by the Wild in the second round of the 2022 NHL Draft, the 22-year-old winger's deal will start in 2026-27. Look for Lorenz to finish up the year with AHL Iowa.

Impact Lorenz has surpassed his 20-point total from 44 games last season. He's now sitting at 11 goals and 11 helpers through 31 appearances, giving him a chance to take a run at his 30-point campaign from 2023-24, which is his best in the NCAA. The senior forward looks set to end the season strong, which could earn him a contract with the Wild after his collegiate campaign is over.

Impact Through 19 contests this season, Lorenz has earned 15 points over 19 appearances. That puts him on track for a career-best year, and it's a bounce-back campaign after he was limited to 20 points in 44 outings in 2024-25. The Wild prospect is in his final year of NCAA eligibility, and his signing rights with Minnesota will expire Aug. 15, 2026 if the club doesn't sign him to an entry-level deal.
