The 22-year-old has played in two of the last three contests, though he's not guaranteed to be in the lineup all of the time for the rest of the season, as he'll have to fend off Ozzy Wiesblatt for fourth-line minutes. Impact Schaefer hasn't gotten a call back to the NHL after a brief stint with the big club prior to the Olympic break. The winger continues to play well for the Admirals -- he has 14 goals and 12 assists over 30 outings. The Predators are on the fringe of the playoff race, but it wouldn't be surprising for Schaefer to get a longer look with the big club if it falls out of contention.

Returned to Milwaukee Schaefer was loaned to AHL Milwaukee on Friday.

Impact Schaefer has played 27 games in his first season in the NHL, tallying four goals and adding two assists. The 22-year-old, who was selected 32nd overall in the opening round of the 2022 Draft, will get in some extra playing time with the Admirals, where he had six goals and 12 assists in 21 appearances earlier in the season.
