Joona Koppanen - On waivers Koppanen (illness) was placed on waivers Friday, per Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Impact Koppanen missed Thursday's 4-3 win over Tampa Bay due to an illness, but rather than rejoin the team, he's now on track to either head to the minors or be claimed. The 27-year-old has an assist in 10 appearances this season. Pittsburgh previously waived Koppanen on Oct. 2, and he went unclaimed, so it's likely he'll the same will happen this time, and he'll report to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Brayden Point - Questionable for Saturday Point (undisclosed) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Islanders, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Point has missed six consecutive games. He has struggled this season with only three goals and eight assists in 21 contests, a far cry from the last three seasons when he combined for 262 points in 240 regular-season games.

Victor Hedman - Deemed probable against Islanders Hedman (undisclosed) was labeled probable to suit up versus the Islanders on Saturday, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Hedman led the post-practice stretch Friday, so all signs certainly point to him getting back into the lineup against New York. In order to play, the 34-year-old blueliner will first need to be activated off long-term injured reserve, though Tampa already created the necessary roster space by sending Declan Carlile back to AHL Syracuse on Friday. While Hedman has yet to find the back of the net this season, he did rack up 12 helpers in 15 games before getting hurt.

Lightning vs. Islanders Prediction, Odds, Picks - Dec. 6
Declan Carlile - Returned to minors Carlile was reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Friday.
Impact Carlile has appeared in nine NHL games this year, generating one goal, five shots and nine hits while averaging 12:53 of ice time. The decision to return Carlile to the minors could be an indication that Victor Hedman (undisclosed) will be ready to play versus the Islanders on Saturday, though the Bolts could also bring another player back up from the minors.
