First point since return
Broberg logged an assist, two shots on goal, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Panthers.
Impact
Broberg missed one game due to a concussion earlier in January. His offense took some time to come around, as he snapped a six-game point drought with his helper Thursday on a Jordan Kyrou goal. For the season, Broberg has 16 points, 68 shots on net, 77 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 54 outings, mainly in a top-four role with ice time in all situations.

Slated to play
Broberg (concussion) is expected to play versus the Lightning on Friday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Impact
Broberg was considered a game-time decision, but he was on the likely side of playing in this contest. He missed one game due to the injury, though he missed almost all of the Jan. 10 matchup versus Vegas when he got injured. Broberg is expected to fill a top-four role and receive power-play time.

Considered game-time decision
Broberg (concussion) is considered a game-time decision for Friday's matchup against the Lightning, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Impact
Broberg entered the concussion protocol after exiting Saturday's matchup against the Golden Knights, but he could return to action after missing just under a week. Head coach Jim Montgomery said Thursday that Broberg still needed to clear some medical hurdles before getting the green light to return to game action, and the team will monitor him in the hours leading up to Friday's puck drop. If Broberg is held out Friday, he'll likely be in the mix to suit up against Edmonton on Sunday.

In contention Friday
Broberg (concussion) could still be cleared in time for Friday's clash with the Lightning, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Impact
According to head coach Jim Montgomery, Broberg still needs to clear some medical hurdles before he can play but hasn't been ruled out versus Tampa Bay. While the defenseman is currently stuck in a 27-game goal drought, he has managed eight helpers over that stretch while making 44 blocks.

Enters concussion protocol
The Blues announced Monday that Broberg is in the concussion protocol and is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes.
Impact
Broberg sustained his injury during the first period of Saturday's game against the Golden Knights, and he's considered day-to-day. While he's slated to miss at least one game, head coach Jim Montgomery said Monday that the team's medical staff is "very happy" with Broberg's progress so far. Matt Kessel will likely enter the lineup against Carolina on Tuesday.

Hurt in Saturday's contest
Broberg (upper body) won't finish Saturday's game versus the Golden Knights.
Impact
Broberg was hit by Mark Stone in the first period, and the St. Louis defenseman was ruled out before the intermission. That typically isn't a great sign. Broberg just signed a six-year, $48 million contract extension earlier in the day, but it's quite possible he'll be missing some time in the short term.

Inks six-year contract
Broberg signed a six-year, $48 million contract with the Blues on Saturday.
Impact
Broberg has two goals, 14 points, six PIM, 58 shots, 17 hits and 71 blocks in 45 appearances with St. Louis in 2025-26. He had 29 points in 68 outings during the 2024-25 regular season. Broberg is playing out the final season of his two-year, $8 million contract and would have been a restricted free agent this summer.

Manages pair of assists
Broberg notched two assists and three shots on goal in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Predators.
Impact
Broberg ended a five-game slump with the pair of helpers. The 24-year-old defenseman continues to see top-four minutes, but he's struggled to put up offense in anything more than short bursts this year. He's at 12 points, 47 shots on net, 53 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 32 appearances, putting him behind the pace that yielded 29 points in 68 regular-season contests a year ago.

Breaks up shutout bid
Broberg scored a goal on two shots and added four blocked shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Impact
Broberg hasn't been all that consistent on offense, but he's done enough to stay in the conversation in fantasy. He's up to two goals and five assists over 19 appearances this season after his third-period goal Saturday kept the Blues from getting shut out. The 24-year-old blueliner has added 28 shots on net, 27 blocked shots, eight hits and a minus-2 rating while seeing heavy minutes in the top four. Broberg's potential will be capped as long as he remains out of the running for power-play time.

Nets first goal this season
Broberg tallied a goal in Thursday's 7-4 loss to Utah.
Impact
Broberg tallied the fourth goal of the game for St. Louis before the Mammoth denied the Blues' late comeback attempt with two goals to cement their lead. Broberg's twine finder was his first of the season and proves to be a good sign that another strong year for the 24-year-old could be in store. After a 29-point campaign through 68 regular-season appearances a year ago, Broberg should be in the mix to be a common contributor from the blueline once again. If he can string together back-to-back games with a point, he's a name to roster sooner rather than later in most formats.
