Returns to minors Say was sent back to AHL Calgary on Tuesday, according to Ryan Pike of Flames Nation.

Impact Say was recalled under emergency conditions Monday and backed up Dustin Wolf against the Kraken due to Devin Cooley (illness) missing the game. Say's demotion to the Wranglers is a strong indication that Cooley will be available for Wednesday's contest in Montreal. Say has never appeared in an NHL game.

Brought up on emergency basis Say was recalled from AHL Calgary on Monday on an emergency basis, according to Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

Impact Devin Cooley isn't suiting up Monday against the Kraken due to an illness, so Say will serve as the No. 2 netminder behind Dustin Wolf. Say holds a 6-7-4 record, .891 save percentage and 3.33 GAA over 18 appearances with the Wranglers in 2025-26.

Earns first AHL shutout Say posted a 44-save shutout in AHL Calgary's 3-0 win over Coachella Valley on Tuesday.

Impact Say really had to work for the first shutout of his AHL career, but he got the job done. The 24-year-old netminder has a 5-4-2 record wit ha 2.82 GAA and a .901 save percentage over 12 appearances this season. He's on a one-year contract for 2025-26 after signing out of the University of Notre Dame in the spring. Say probably won't ever have a clear path to a starting role at the NHL in the Flames' organization as long as Dustin Wolf is around, but he could play his way into the backup role in a few years if he sticks around.
