Impact Forsberg won his first start of the season, stopped 19 of 21 shots against the Flyers on Saturday. So far, the Senators have alternated evenly between Joonas Korpisalo and Forsberg, with each getting two games as of Wednesday. Impact Norris began the season on the injured reserve list due to his shoulder injury. He centered the third line alongside Dominik Kubalik and Drake Batherson during Wednesday's morning skate, according to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun. Norris was limited to eight games due to injury last season, but he had 35 goals and 55 points in 66 outings in 2021-22. His availability might result in Zack MacEwen serving as a healthy scratch.

Impact Giroux has racked up three helpers to open the season but is still looking for his first goal despite putting 10 shots on net in his three outings. In his first season with Ottawa, the veteran center racked up a career-best 35 goals, including seven with the man advantage. Barring any setbacks, Giroux should continue to be a top-end offensive producer for the Senators moving forward.

Impact Korpisalo was knocked around for five goals on 42 shots in an uneven performance in Carolina in the opener. After watching Anton Forsberg shut down the Flyers 5-2 on Saturday, Korpisalo had a nearly identical performance. If the Senators can get solid defensive efforts and good goaltending by their duo, a playoff run is easily possible.

Impact Kubalik posted 20 goals and 45 points across 81 games in his only NHL campaign with the Red Wings last season, and he was inked by the Senators for some added scoring punch. He is scoreless in three games, and he has taken just one shot on goal in the past two outings after going for three shots in Carolina in the opener. Be patient, as Kubalik should still be able to reach 35-40 points.

Impact Joseph already has two goals after managing just three goals and 18 points across 56 games last season. Perhaps he was a little amped up to face his original NHL club. The 26-year-old rearguard actually scored 37 goals over 221 NHL games for the Lightning across parts of four seasons. His goal Sunday was a game-winning goal, too, his first since April 1, 2022 at Detroit.

Impact The 21-year-old German winger put a bow on the day's scoring, depositing the puck into the empty net for his second of the season. He ended up with a plus-2 rating, a game-high eight shots on goal, a blocked shot, a minor penalty and a hit. He'll look to stay hot Wednesday night against the Capitals.
