Impact Hutton compiled six goals, 15 points, 71 shots on net, 55 blocked shots, 28 hits and 19 PIM in 55 appearances for Vegas during the 2025-26 regular season. The window is tighter now, but Hutton still has time to find another team before the 2026-27 campaign begins.

Impact Zub has been skating on his own, but he won't be ready for the start of the 2026-27 campaign. There is currently no timeline for his return. Zub registered five goals, 30 points, 92 shots on net, 57 PIM, 66 hits and 120 blocked shots in 81 regular-season appearances with Ottawa in 2025-26.

Andre Burakovsky - Doesn't practice Monday Burakovsky didn't practice Monday due to an undisclosed injury, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
Impact Burakovsky exited last Saturday's preseason finale against Montreal early after taking a hard hit, and while the nature of his injury isn't yet clear, it's discouraging that he hasn't yet returned to practice a few days later. It's not yet clear whether the 31-year-old will be available for Saturday's Opening Night matchup against the Maple Leafs.
SEPTEMBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Jake Sanderson - Expected to be fine Sanderson (undisclosed) is fine despite sitting out Monday's practice, Wayne Scanlan of Sportsnet reports.
Impact Sanderson is expected to participate in Tuesday's on-ice session. He left Saturday's 4-3 preseason win over Montreal for precautionary reasons. Assuming he avoids any setbacks, Sanderson should be available for Ottawa's season opener against Toronto on Saturday.
SEPTEMBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Philip Tomasino - Waived by Ottawa Tomasino was placed on waivers by the Senators on Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.
Impact Tomasino spent most of the 2025-26 campaign in the AHL, where he recorded 12 goals and 29 assists across 52 regular-season appearances between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Lehigh Valley. He'll presumably head back to the minors if he clears waivers.

Impact Kyrou wasn't extended a qualifying offer from the Flyers during the offseason, but he signed a one-year, two-way contract with Ottawa a few days later. He'll be left off the Senators' Opening Night roster and should head to the minors if he clears waivers. He generated 10 goals, 24 assists and 16 PIM across 55 regular-season appearances with AHL Lehigh Valley last year.

SEPTEMBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Xavier Bourgault - Placed on waivers by Senators Bourgault was placed on waivers by Ottawa on Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

The 2021 first-round pick hasn't yet made his NHL debut, but he logged 12 goals, 14 assists and 68 PIM across 47 regular-season appearances with AHL Belleville during the 2025-26 campaign.
SEPTEMBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Samuel Bolduc - Waived by Ottawa Bolduc was placed on waivers by the Senators on Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

Samuel Ersson - Beaten four times in preseason finale Ersson stopped 22 of 26 shots in Saturday's 4-2 preseason loss to the Canadiens.
Impact Ersson allowed one goal in the first period and another early in the second before Montreal broke a 2-2 tie with two third-period tallies. The 26-year-old made his second preseason appearance against Montreal after stopping 32 of 35 shots in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the same Canadiens team. Ersson will open the 2026-27 season as Ottawa's No. 2 goalkeeper.
SEPTEMBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Linus Ullmark - Stops three goals in win Ullmark stopped 22 of 25 shots in Saturday's 4-3 preseason win over the Canadiens.
Impact Ullmark allowed Brett Berard's opening goal 3:49 into the game but kept Montreal off the board for the remainder of the first two periods while Ottawa built a 3-1 advantage. The Canadiens then struck twice in a span of 1:46 during the third, with Alex Belzile and Sasha Pastujov beating Ullmark to tie the contest, but a later goal from William Eklund gave the Senators -- and Ullmark -- the win. Ullmark posted a 28-12-8 record with three shutouts, a 2.73 GAA and an .891 save percentage in 49 regular-season appearances for Ottawa in 2025-26. While this wasn't his finest performance with the regular season right around the corner, he's slated to open the 2026-27 campaign as the first-choice goaltender for the Senators.
SEPTEMBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Claude Giroux - Posts three-point effort Giroux recorded a goal and two assists in Saturday's 4-3 preseason win over the Canadiens.
Impact Giroux did all of his damage on the power play, tying the game with a slap shot midway through the first period before picking up secondary assists on second-period goals by Drake Batherson and Carter Yakemchuk. Ottawa ultimately went 4-for-8 with the man advantage, with all four of its goals coming on the power play. Giroux will open the season as a middle-six forward and is slated to open the campaign skating in the third line next to Michael Amadio and Shane Pinto (undisclosed).
