Shifted to non-roster IR Okuliar (lower body) was placed on non-roster injured reserve Friday.

Impact Okuliar is expected to continue his rehab with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton while officially on the Penguins' non-roster list. Once given the all-clear, Okuliar figures to be officially shifted to the minors, where he will likely play out the season.

Considered week-to-week Okuliar won't participate in training camp Monday due to a lower-body injury and is considered week-to-week.

Impact Okuliar signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Penguins in mid-June, and it appears as though he'll be hampered to close out training camp due to his lower-body injury. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but he'll likely head to the AHL once he's healthy.

Signs one-year contract Okuliar signed a one-year, two-way contract with Pittsburgh on Monday.

Impact Okuliar produced 15 goals and 29 points in 46 regular-season games for Skelleftea AIK of the SHL in 2025-26. He also had six goals and 13 points in 15 SHL playoff outings en route to a championship victory. The Penguins acquired Okuliar from Florida on Saturday in exchange for Emil Pieniniemi.

Rights obtained in trade Pittsburgh acquired Okuliar from Florida on Saturday in exchange for Emil Pieniniemi.

Impact Okuliar notched 15 goals and 29 points in 46 SHL regular-season games for Skelleftea AIK in 2025-26 before adding seven assists and 13 points in 15 playoff appearances. The 26-year-old also had two points in six outings with Slovakia at the 2026 Winter Olympics. He is currently an unsigned restricted free agent.
