Won't play Wednesday Granlund has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Oilers due to an upper-body injury, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.

Impact Granlund's upper-body injury is believed to be a short-term concern, but he'll be unavailable for the Ducks' first game following the Olympic break. Head coach Joel Quenneville said Wednesday that Granlund is expected to skate Thursday and could return to game action Friday against Winnipeg.

Logs two assists in overtime win Granlund logged two assists in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames.

Impact Granlund earned his first multi-point effort since Dec. 20 versus the Blue Jackets. The 33-year-old has still had a good January with eight points and 23 shots on net over 12 appearances. For the season, he's up to 23 points (nine goals, 14 helpers), 70 shots on net, 23 hits, 22 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 34 outings. He was in a middle-six role early in the season but has taken on top-line duties in the absences of Leo Carlsson (thigh) and Mason McTavish (upper body).

Impact Granlund accounted for all the offense the Ducks were able to muster Monday, but that goal extended the veteran's scoring streak to four contests. He had scored just three goals in his previous 15 appearances, so he's clearly going through his most prolific stretch. Even more importantly, it seems his injury issues are a thing of the past now. Granlund missed all but one of the Ducks' 19 games between Oct. 28 and Dec. 3 due to a lower-body injury.
