Prevents shutout Friday Bunting scored a power-play goal on two shots and added five hits in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Jets.

Impact Bunting broke up Connor Hellebuyck's shutout bid at 5:49 of the third period. Typically, Bunting is on the second power-play unit, but he got the look on the first unit because Sidney Crosby was stuck in the penalty box waiting for a stoppage after serving his fighting major. After a terrible October, Bunting has turned things around partially with four goals and two assists over his last nine outings. He's at seven points (two on the power play), 40 shots on net, 30 hits, 14 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 21 appearances this season.

Scores in loss to Blue Jackets Bunting scored a power-play goal in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Impact Bunting recorded just one point -- an assist in the 6-3 win over Montreal on Oct. 14 -- in 11 games in October. However, he's turned things around now that the calendar has flipped to November with four points (three goals and a helper) in seven contests this month. The slow start seems to be a thing of the past now, and if Bunting remains consistent with his scoring, he could experience an uptick in his fantasy upside, particularly since he holds a top-six role in the lineup.

Scores in Friday's win Bunting scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Friday's 4-2 win over the Capitals.

Impact Bunting has scored twice in the last three games, adding six shots on net and nine hits in that span. It's perhaps the first thaw after a cold start to the year cost the winger his spot in the Penguins' top six. He has just three points to go with 34 shots on net, 22 hits, 14 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 15 outings. Bunting is playing on the third line, but a strong stretch of offense could help him regain a better position in the lineup.

Finds twine in loss Bunting scored his first goal of the season in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders.

Impact Bunting put the Penguins up 3-1 in the third period by snapping a wrist shot past Ilya Sorokin. Bunting added two PIM, one shot, two hits and a plus-1 rating in 11:29 of ice time. The 29-year-old has had a slow start to the 2024-25 campaign with one goal, one assist and a minus-4 rating through 13 games. The left-shot forward is serving in a third-line capacity while working with the No. 2 power-play unit.

Records assist in win Bunting had an assist, two shots on goal and one hit in Monday's 6-3 win over Montreal.

Impact Bunting teamed up with Evgeni Malkin to set up Rickard Rakell to give Pittsburgh a 2-0 lead in the first period. It was the first point of the season for Bunting, who recorded 19 points over 21 games after being traded from Carolina to Pittsburgh in 2023-24. He has a spot on the second line with Malkin, which could be a productive gig.

Two helpers in season finale Bunting recorded a pair of assists in Wednesday's 5-4 defeat to the Islanders.

Impact Bunting had five multi-point efforts over the course of his 21-game stint in Pittsburgh. The winger appears to have thrived playing in a second-line role for the Penguins, a spot he will likely continue to hold down heading into the 2024-25 campaign. The 28-year-old Ontario native fell one tally shy of reaching the 20-goal threshold, a mark he should be capable of getting back to with a full season on Evgeni Malkin's wing.

Gets back to 20-goal mark Bunting scored twice and went minus-2 in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Bruins.

Impact Bunting netted a power-play goal in the second period and scored late in the third, but it was too late to make a difference. The winger has four goals and five assists through seven outings in April. That surge has helped him get back to the 20-goal mark for the third time in four years. He's added 32 assists, 164 shots on net, 48 hits, 57 PIM and a minus-19 rating through 79 appearances between the Penguins and the Hurricanes.

Three points including GWG Bunting scored the game-winning goal and added two assists in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Lightning.

Impact The 28-year-old winger completed his big night by tapping home a slick feed from Evgeni Malkin on Andrei Vasilevskiy's doorstep with a little over five minutes left in the third period. Bunting has racked up four goals and 12 points over the last 12 games, and he sits two tallies short of his third straight 20-goal campaign with five games left on the schedule for Pittsburgh.

Scores in Thursday's win Bunting scored a goal on a team-high six shots in Thursday's 4-1 victory over Washington.

Impact Bunting extended Pittsburgh's lead to 3-0 in the second period, beating Charlie Lindgren with a slapshot off the rush midway through the frame. The 28-year-old Bunting now has three points (a goal and two assists) in his last two contests. He's up to 17 goals and 46 points through 75 games between the Penguins and Hurricanes this season.

Will play Monday Bunting (illness) will be in the lineup to face the Rangers on Monday, Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Impact Bunting was forced to leave Saturday's matchup with the Blue Jackets due to an illness but appears to be back to 100 percent ahead of Monday's matchup. Since joining the Pens at the trade deadline, the 28-year-old winger has slotted into a top-six role, racking up three goals and four assists, including a pair of power-play points, in 12 outings.

Two-point effort Friday Bunting scored a goal and added an assist in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Stars.

Impact The 28-year-old winger opened the scoring early in the first period, but the game quickly slipped away from Pittsburgh after that. Bunting has a four-game point streak going, and in eight contests since getting traded to the Pens he's produced three goals and six points.
