Impact The veteran blueliner had a hand in tallies by Alex Ovechkin in the first period and Tom Wilson in the third. It was Roy's first multi-point performance since Dec. 3, when he produced three helpers against the Sharks, and on the season he's produced two goals and 19 points in 72 games with 130 blocked shots, 109 hits, 90 shots on net and a plus-14 rating -- the fifth straight season in which he's delivered triple digits in blocks and hits.

Impact Roy missed three games due to a lower-body injury. The defenseman saw 19:23 of ice time in his return, and with the Olympic break starting later this week, he should soon get plenty of rest if he's not at 100 percent just yet. Roy has put up a goal, 14 helpers, 69 shots on net, 78 hits, 106 blocked shots and a plus-13 rating over 54 appearances as a regular in the Capitals' top four this season.

The 30-year-old has appeared in 13 games since the start of the calendar year, recording three assists, 25 hits, 21 blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-3 rating while averaging 21:18 of ice time.

Impact Roy will miss his third straight game against Carolina on Saturday. It's unclear if he will return to action before the Olympic break. Roy has collected one goal, 13 assists, 67 shots on net, 106 blocked shots and 75 hits across 53 outings this season.
