Agrees to one-year contract
Zuccarello signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Kings on Wednesday, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
Impact
Zuccarello's new contract includes bonuses, so he has the potential to earn more than that $1 million base salary. The 38-year-old had 15 goals and 54 points in 59 regular-season outings with the Wild in 2025-26, which made it his fifth consecutive campaign with over 50 points. He should get a top-six assignment and some power-play ice time with the Kings.

Dishes pair of power-play helpers
Zuccarello recorded two power-play assists and three shots on goal in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Avalanche in Game 3.
Impact
Zuccarello has yet to be held off the scoresheet in his six playoff games this year. He's earned two goals and seven helpers, as well as 13 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating so far. The 38-year-old winger is likely to continue being a strong playmaker in a top-six role and on the power play.

Tallies late in loss
Zuccarello scored a goal on two shots and went minus-2 in Sunday's 9-6 loss to the Avalanche in Game 1.
Impact
Zuccarello has two goals and four helpers, as well as seven shots on net and a plus-1 rating, over four playoff contests. He missed three games due to an upper-body injury in the first round, but he's shown no signs of rust since returning to action in Game 5 against the Stars. There's no guarantee this second-round series will remain high scoring all the way through, but Zuccarello should be involved in a large part of what the Wild create.

Scores in return to lineup
Zuccarello scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Stars in Game 5.
Impact
Zuccarello missed three games due to an upper-body injury. He made his presence felt early in his return, scoring at 3:51 of the first period to give the Wild an early 1-0 lead. He hadn't scored in his last six games, but he totaled 12 assists in that span and will likely lean more to the playmaking side on offense. Zuccarello had 54 points, including 21 on the power play, over 59 regular-season contests while primarily playing on the top line and first power-play unit.

Set to play in Game 5
Zuccarello (upper body) is expected to play against Dallas on Tuesday in Game 5, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic.
Impact
Following a three-game absence, Zuccarello appears poised to occupy a top-line role in Tuesday's matchup. He should also serve on the first power-play unit. Zuccarello has three assists, one shot on goal, one blocked shot and two hits in one appearance this postseason.

Practices, questionable for Game 5
Zuccarello (upper body) is questionable for Game 5 against Dallas on Tuesday, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Zuccarello worked on the top power-play unit during Monday's practice, which is an encouraging sign for a potential return. However, it remains unclear if he will be back in the lineup after missing the last three games. Zuccarello contributed three assists, including two on the power play, in Minnesota's 6-1 win over Dallas in Game 1 on April 18.

Won't play Saturday
Zuccarello (upper body) won't play in Game 4 versus Dallas on Saturday, per Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News.
Impact
Zuccarello is set to miss his third consecutive game. He had 15 goals and 54 points in 59 regular-season outings in 2025-26. Zuccarello is likely to play on the top line when he's healthy, but for now, Bobby Brink is projected to serve in that role.

Game-time decision for Saturday
Zuccarello (upper body) will be a game-time call for Game 4 versus Dallas on Saturday, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
Impact
Zuccarello skated prior to Friday's morning practice after missing Games 2 and 3. The diminutive winger had three helpers in the Wild's lone win in Game 1. He managed 15 goals and 54 points across 59 regular-season games in 2025-26. Look for Zuccarello to replace Bobby Brink on the top line, if he returns to the lineup Saturday.
