Headed back to Finland Johansson agreed to terms on a contract with Swedish club Farjestad BK on Friday.
Impact Johansson played for Farjestad back in 2009-10 before he made the jump to North America. Selected by the Capitals with the 24th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Draft, the veteran winger spent 16 seasons in the NHL, racking up 200 goals and 366 assists in 1058 regular-season tilts for six different clubs. Coming off a 15-goal, 34-assist campaign, Johansson almost certainly would have had NHL offers when free agency opened July 1.

Strikes early in Game 5 loss Johansson scored a goal in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Avalanche in Game 5.
Impact Johansson tallied just 34 seconds into the game, setting the early tone in the Wild's favor. That didn't last, as the Avalanche controlled the last two periods of regulation and completed their comeback in overtime. Johansson earned three goals in the second round and four goals with 18 shots on net, 21 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 11 playoff contests. The 35-year-old winger is one of eight pending unrestricted free agents at forward for the Wild. He impressed with 49 points over 75 regular-season outings, his best campaign since 2016-17, so he should have a decent market if Minnesota opts not to bring him back.

Tallies again Tuesday Johansson scored a goal on four shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Avalanche in Game 2.
Impact Johansson has scored in both games of the second round, surpassing his output of one goal over six contests against the Stars in the first round. Still, his scoring hasn't led to general success for the Wild, who are down 2-0 against Colorado. Johansson is up to 16 shots on net, 18 hits and a plus-1 rating over eight playoff outings in a second-line role.

Finds twine in Game 1 loss Johansson scored a goal in Sunday's 9-6 loss to the Avalanche in Game 1.
Impact Johansson has been fairly quiet so far in the postseason, picking up two goals over seven games. He's added 12 shots on net, 18 hits and a plus-1 rating. The 35-year-old is still playing on the second line and second power-play unit, which puts him in a position to make an impact on offense. Until he shows more offense, Johansson is a risky fantasy option, as it's tough to see his physicality from the first round carrying over all postseason.

Pots power-play goal Johansson scored a power-play goal on two shots and added four hits in Wednesday's 4-3 double-overtime loss to the Stars in Game 3.
Impact Johansson got the Wild on the board late in the first period. This was his first point in three games to open the postseason, and he's added five shots on net and nine hits in this rivalry matchup. Johansson had one of the better campaigns of his career with 49 points over 75 regular-season outings this year. Prior to this postseason, he had 47 points across 114 career playoff games, so he also brings plenty of experience to a middle-six role.

Scores 200th career goal Johansson scored a goal, added an assist and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Kraken.
Impact Johansson had been limited to two assists over the prior eight games. The 35-year-old's third-period tally was the 200th goal of his career. Johansson has been a fixture in the Wild's middle six this season, and he's had his best campaign since 2016-17 with 15 goals and 47 points over 71 appearances. He has a chance to hit the 50-point mark for just the second time in his career if he finished the regular season with strong play.

Three points in OT win Johansson scored a goal and added two assists, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over Chicago.
Impact After picking up two points in the first period while the Wild surged out to a 3-1 lead, Johansson fed Mats Zuccarello for the OT winner. It was Johansson's most productive performance since Dec., 29, when he erupted for four points against the Golden Knights, and his tally snapped a 15-game goal drought in which he's picked up only six assists. On the season, the veteran winger has 14 goals and 43 points in 62 contests, and he still has a shot at recording his first 50-point campaign since 2016-17.

Logs assist in return Johansson posted an assist in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Mammoth.
Impact Johansson missed two games due to an upper-body injury before returning to action Tuesday. He set up Matt Boldy's goal in the second period. Johansson has been a fine complementary winger this season, picking up 40 points, 79 shots on net, 23 hits and a plus-19 rating over 58 appearances, mainly in a second-line role.
MARCH 11 • ROTOWIRE
Ready to rock Johansson (upper body) will play against Utah on Tuesday, according to Jessi Pierce of NHL.com.
Impact Following a two-game absence, Johansson will replace Nico Sturm in Tuesday's lineup. The 35-year-old Johansson has accounted for 13 goals, 39 points and 78 shots on net across 57 appearances this season.
MARCH 10 • ROTOWIRE
Out at least two games Johansson (upper body) will not be available for the Wild's two-game road trip that begins Friday in Vegas, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Impact Johansson was injured in the third period Tuesday against Tampa Bay and did not return. The 35-year-old veteran has 13 goals and 26 assists across 57 appearances this season. Look for Michael McCarron to draw into the lineup, in place of Johansson.
