Nets shortie in Game 1 loss
Foligno scored a shorthanded goal on three shots and added three hits in Sunday's 9-6 loss to the Avalanche in Game 1.
Impact
Foligno's goal at 16:55 of the second period put the Wild ahead 5-4, though the advantage lasted all of 1:09 before Devon Toews tied the score again. Through seven playoff outings, Foligno has two goals, one assist, 36 hits, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating. The 34-year-old is seeing steady bottom-six minutes, and his physical playing style should be enough to keep him in the lineup throughout the postseason.

Foligno earned his first point of the series when he scored at 14:40 of the third period to tie the game at 2-2. Well rested for playoffs
Foligno (rest) was in attendance for Thursday's practice session, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Impact
After sitting out the Wild's last two games, Foligno was back on the ice ahead of Game 1 versus the Stars. The veteran winger failed to reach the 20-point mark for the first time since 2018-19, in part due to the fact that he saw action in just 56 games this year. Without a role on the power play, combined with slotting into a spot in the bottom six, Foligno is unlikely to offer significant value in most postseason pools.

Out again Tuesday
Foligno (rest) won't play Tuesday versus the Ducks, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports.
Impact
Foligno will miss a second straight game to close out the regular season. The 34-year-old winger will likely return for Game 1 of the playoffs versus the Stars. He should see bottom-six minutes, though he's not a lock to be in the lineup.

Sitting out Monday
Foligno (rest) won't play against St. Louis on Monday, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic.
Impact
Foligno will be out of the lineup for at least one game, but it's unclear if he will play against Anaheim on Tuesday in Minnesota's regular-season finale. He has collected eight goals, 13 points, 65 shots on net, 47 blocked shots and 179 hits through 56 outings this campaign.

Goal, fight in win
Foligno scored a goal on two shots, added five PIM, logged two hits, blocked three shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Kraken.
Impact
Foligno's tally tied the game at 2-2 in the second period. He also had a heavyweight fight with Jamie Oleksiak in the opening frame. The 34-year-old Foligno continues to play in a bottom-six role, which gives him little scoring potential. He's been held to 13 points, 62 shots on net, 170 hits, 46 blocked shots, 63 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 54 appearances this season.
