Anaheim takes on New York following overtime victory

The Anaheim Ducks host the New York Rangers after the Ducks knocked off the Los Angeles Kings 2-1 in overtime
JANUARY 18 • Associated Press
Adrian Kempe - Nets lone goal in overtime loss Kempe scored a power-play goal on two shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Ducks.
Impact Kempe has three goals and two assists over 10 outings in January. He hasn't posted a multi-point effort since Dec. 18 when he scored twice against the Lightning, though a lack of scoring is far from an individual problem given the Kings' recent play. Kempe is up to 16 goals, 37 points (seven on the power play), 133 shots on net, 90 hits, 42 PIM and a plus-5 rating over 48 appearances.

Anton Forsberg - Takes overtime loss Saturday Forsberg stopped 31 of 33 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Ducks.
Impact Goal support continues to be a problem -- the Kings have scored a total of eight goals over Forsberg's last four appearances. The 33-year-old netminder is 1-1-1 in that span with nine goals allowed on 88 shots. Forsberg is at a 7-6-4 record with a 2.60 GAA and a .903 save percentage over 18 appearances. The Kings' next game is Tuesday versus the Rangers, and it doesn't look like Darcy Kuemper has lost control of the No. 1 job yet despite some recent mediocre play, so expect Forsberg to remain in the backup role.

Mikael Granlund - Secures win in overtime Granlund scored a goal on three shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Kings.
Impact Granlund scored 4:02 into overtime, giving the Ducks the home-and-home sweep over the Kings this weekend. The 33-year-old has four points over his last five contests and is likely to see a significant boost in usage while Leo Carlsson (thigh) is out for 3-5 weeks. Granlund has nine goals, 20 points, 65 shots on net, 21 hits, 17 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 30 appearances. His goal Saturday was his first game-winner as a Duck.

Mason McTavish - Tallies opening goal McTavish scored a goal on four shots and added three hits in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Kings.
Impact McTavish opened the scoring at 6:11 of the first period. He's up to 12 goals this season, including five over his last 13 games. The 22-year-old center is poised to handle a larger role while Leo Carlsson (thigh) is sidelined for 3-5 weeks. McTavish is up to 29 points, 99 shots on net, 53 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-10 rating over 48 appearances this season.
