Skid continues in tough loss Binnington stopped 23 of 28 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Stars.
Impact Binnington nearly got this game to overtime, but Jamie Benn tallied with 23 seconds left in the third period to break the Blues' hearts. This was Binnington's seventh straight regulation loss, and he's allowed at least four goals in five of those defeats. The Team Canada goalie has an 8-17-6 record with a 3.65 GAA and an .864 save percentage over 32 appearances this season. It's unclear if he'll get much playing time at the Olympics, but if he does, he should benefit from having a much stronger team in front of him. That could be the spark Binnington needs to get his NHL season back on track after the break.

Slated to face Dallas Binnington is expected to start on the road against Dallas on Wednesday.
Impact Binnington has lost his past six outings while posting a 4.38 GAA and an .829 save percentage. That gives him an 8-16-6 record, 3.60 GAA and .866 save percentage in 31 appearances in 2025-26. Dallas has won their past five games while outscoring the competition 19-14 over that stretch.

Loses sixth straight outing Binnington allowed four goals on 22 shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jackets. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.
Impact Binnington has given up 26 goals on 152 shots (.829 save percentage) during his six-game losing streak. Despite his awful performance, he's maintained a timeshare with Joel Hofer, who has won three of his last six games. Binnington is now 8-16-6 with a 3.60 GAA and an .866 save percentage across 31 outings. He's borderline unplayable in fantasy with those ratios, and the Blues would be justified in giving Hofer a starter's workload for the rest of the campaign. The Blues' last two games before the Olympic break are on the road, in Nashville on Monday and in Dallas on Wednesday.

In goal Saturday Binnington will protect the home net against Columbus on Saturday, according to Lou Korac of The Hockey News.
Impact Binnington has allowed 22 goals on 130 shots during his five-game losing skid. He has gone 8-15-6 this campaign with a 3.59 GAA, an .867 save percentage and one shutout in 30 appearances. Columbus sits 19th in the league with 3.06 goals per game this season.

Gives up four goals in loss Binnington allowed four goals on 24 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Impact Binnington took his fifth straight loss, and he's allowed at least three goals in each of those games (22 in total). The 32-year-old netminder struggled in the second period as the Stars converted twice on the power play, but it was Thomas Harley's goal at even strength late in the third that decided the game. Binnington is down to 8-15-6 with a 3.59 GAA and an .867 save percentage through 30 appearances this season. The Blues have mostly been alternating goalies lately, which suggests Joel Hofer will get the nod for Thursday's tough home matchup versus the Panthers.

Harley's late goal lifts Stars past Blues, 4-3

Expected to start Tuesday Binnington is slated to start in Tuesday's home clash with the Stars.
Impact Since a 26-save shutout to kick off the calendar year, Binnington has struggled with a 0-4-0 record, a 4.54 GAA and an .830 save percentage across four starts. Overall, the 32-year-old netminder has an 8-14-6 record, a 3.57 GAA and an .868 save percentage over 29 appearances this season. With fellow netminder Joel Hofer earning the Blues at least one point in three of his last four starts, Binnington's back is against the wall if he doesn't want to cede the majority of starts to the other half of his goalie tandem. He'll look to bounce back against a Stars offense that scores 3.25 goals per game this season.

Struggles continue in loss Binnington stopped 16 of 19 shots on net in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Stars.
Impact With the game tied at two headed into the final minute of regulation, Binnington allowed the go-ahead goal to Dallas' Jason Robertson en route to the loss. Overall, Binnington now has an 8-14-6 record, a 3.57 GAA and an .868 save percentage across 29 appearances this season. After a win to kick off the calendar year, the 32-year-old netminder has struggled since with a 4.54 GAA and an .830 save percentage during a four-game losing streak. Even if his numbers level out down the stretch, it is difficult to trust Binnington in fantasy for the time being with fellow goaltender Joel Hofer outplaying him.

Tending twine Friday Binnington will defend the road crease against Dallas on Friday, Andy Strickland of FanDuel Sports Network reports.
Impact Binnington has struggled over his last three starts, going 0-3-0 with a 5.03 GAA and .828 save percentage during that time. He made a home start against the Stars on Oct. 18 and turned aside 18 of 19 shots (.947 save percentage) in a 3-1 victory.

Gets no help in loss Binnington stopped 23 of 28 shots in Sunday's 5-0 loss to the Oilers.
Impact The Oilers had a three-goal first period, and the Blues didn't have a response for that. Binnington has lost three straight outings, allowing 15 goals on 87 shots in those contests. Considering Joel Hofer has won his last two starts, Binnington looks to be slipping more firmly into the backup role at this stage of the campaign. Binnington has an 8-13-6 record with a 3.59 GAA and an .869 save percentage over 28 appearances. The Blues' next game is in Winnipeg on Tuesday.

Facing Oilers Binnington will defend the road net against Edmonton on Sunday, per Elise Butler of the Blues' official site.
Impact Binnington has lost his last two outings, giving up 10 goals on 59 shots over that span. He has gone 8-12-6 this campaign with a 3.53 GAA, an .871 save percentage and one shutout through 27 appearances. Edmonton is coming off a 6-0 win over Vancouver on Saturday. The Oilers rank seventh in the league this season with 3.37 goals per game.
JANUARY 18 • ROTOWIRE
Not quite good enough in Vegas Binnington stopped 21 of 24 shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Impact This was Binnington's fourth loss in his last five outings, but it was at least a reasonable performance. The 32-year-old netminder has allowed a total of 20 goals in those defeats, while he had a shutout in his lone win in that span. Binnington is at a 8-12-6 record with a 3.53 GAA and an .871 save percentage through 27 appearances, by far the worst numbers of his career. Fantasy managers in weekly leagues may want to avoid the Blues' crease altogether next week. They host the Hurricanes on Tuesday and the Lightning on Friday before visiting the Oilers on Jan. 18 to close out a three-game week against three of the league's six best offenses through Saturday's action.

Set to face Vegas Binnington is set to start on the road against Vegas on Saturday.
Impact Binnington has been all over the place recently. He has a 4.26 GAA and an .860 save percentage over his past four games, but that stretch includes a 26-save shutout victory over Montreal. The 32-year-old netminder has an 8-11-6 record, 3.55 GAA and .871 save percentage in 26 appearances this campaign. Vegas is tied for 13th in goals per game with 3.14. The Golden Knights have won their past two games while outscoring the competition 9-6.
