He will likely be one of the first call-up options for the Senators should the need for a forward arise in-season.

Inks one-year deal Jenik signed a one-year, two-way contract with Ottawa on Monday.

Impact Jenik appeared in two regular-season games with Ottawa last campaign, posting two hits and a minus-1 rating. He also notched 12 goals and 29 points in 52 outings with AHL Belleville during the 2024-25 regular season. The 24-year-old forward will probably spend most, if not all, of 2025-26 in the minors.

Impact Jenik saw action in just five NHL games for the Coyotes last season, tallying one assist, six hits and two shots while averaging a mere 8:23 of ice time. The 23-year-old center will get a new start with the Senators after the organization acquired him in a minor-league swap from Utah HC on Wednesday. Still, even with his new team, the Czech will likely be hard-pressed to secure regular minutes at the NHL level and figures to spend the bulk of the campaign in the minors.
