Impact Despite participating in Tuesday's morning skate, Chychrun will miss his second straight game. He has registered 15 goals, 32 points, 150 shots on net, 57 blocked shots and 39 hits across 45 appearances this season.

Impact Chychrun didn't participate in power-play rushes but also didn't stay on the ice after practice, so it's hard to read between the lines here. Prior to missing Sunday's clash with the Predators, the 27-year-old defenseman was stuck in a seven-game goal drought during which he produced three assists, 19 shots and 11 blocks.

Impact In the first period, Chychrun made it 2-0 when a point shot bounced off the end boards to him, and he ripped a snap shot past Dennis Hildeby from just below the right circle. His second goal came in the third when he carried the puck into the left circle and scored far side with a wrister from the dot. Chychrun has four goals in his last five games (16 shots), and he now leads all defenders with 12 goals. He's in a three-way tie with Adam Fox and Jake Sanderson for seventh overall in scoring (26 points; 33 games).
