Secures one-year deal Hodgson put pen to paper on a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators on Tuesday.

Impact Hodgson failed to get into an NHL game last season, spending the entirety of the campaign in the minors with AHL Ontario. For the Reign, the 28-year-old winger notched six goals and 10 assists in 49 regular-season contests. While Hodgson should be on the list of potential call-ups next year, he figures once again to spend the bulk of the campaign in the minors.

Goes on waivers Hodgson was placed on waivers Sunday, according to Chris Johnston of TSN.

Impact Hodgson posted three goals, eight points and 83 PIM in 44 games with AHL Lehigh Valley last season. He also has one goal and two assists in seven appearances with Philadelphia over the past two campaigns. Hodgson was acquired by the Kings in a three-team trade with the Flyers and Blue Jackets in June.

Shipped to Los Angeles Hodgson was traded from Philadelphia to Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Impact Hodgson was part of a six-player, three-team trade between the Kings, Flyers and Blue Jackets. The 27-year-old forward picked up eight points and 83 penalty minutes in 46 games with AHL Lehigh Valley last season. He also appeared in one contest with the Flyers. Los Angeles retained 30 percent of the contract for Ivan Provorov, who was sent to Columbus, in the deal. The Kings also acquired defenseman Kevin Connauton from the Flyers in the trade.
