Shifts to IR Lindholm (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, per the NHL media site.

Impact The Bruins activated Henri Jokiharju (undisclosed) in a corresponding move. Lindholm was absent from Monday's practice and doesn't have a timeline for his return. He has contributed three goals, 14 points, 60 shots on net and 59 blocked shots across 34 appearances this season.

Set to miss time Head coach Marco Sturm said Monday that Lindholm is dealing with an undisclosed injury that will force him to miss time, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports.

Impact While the exact nature of Lindholm's injury isn't yet clear, Sturm said that it is "not going to be a day-to-day thing." A timetable for Lindholm's return hasn't yet been revealed, but Vladislav Kolyachonok will likely see playing time in his absence. Despite being slated to miss time, Sturm seemed optimistic that Lindholm isn't facing a long-term absence. "I think it's hopefully not too long, but he's definitely going to be out for a little bit." Lindholm has made 34 appearances this year, logging three goals, 11 assists, 59 blocked shots and 36 PIM while averaging 22:11 of ice time.

Three-point effort Tuesday Lindholm notched three assists in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Red Wings.

Impact The veteran blueliner provided a spark for the Bruins after they fell into a 3-0 hole early in the second period, although the comeback fell short. Lindholm continues to fill on in the top power-play unit with Charlie McAvoy (face) sidelined, but his offensive production has been very hit and miss in that role. Lindholm has two multi-point performances in the eight games McAvoy has missed so far, but he's been held off the scoresheet entirely in the other six.
