Returns to the KHL McKegg signed with Shanghai of the KHL on Monday.

Impact McKegg will make the move to Shanghai to join the Dragons for the remainder of the season. The 33-year-old has 233 career NHL games on his resume, but hasn't appeared in a game since the 2021-22 season as a member of the Rangers. At this stage, a return to the NHL looks highly unlikely.

Heading to Czechia McKegg signed a contract with BK Mlada Boleslav of the Czech League on Wednesday, per Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports.

Impact McKegg had seven goals, 29 points and 61 PIM in 63 contests with AHL Bakersfield in 2023-24. The 32-year-old also has 21 goals and 39 points in 233 career NHL games, but he hasn't played at that level since the 2021-22 campaign.

Impact McKegg spent the 2022-23 campaign in the minors, where he scored seven times and added 13 assists in 66 games with AHL Bakersfield. Should he pass through waivers, McKegg will be reassigned to Bakersfield once again.
