Gets starting nod for Wednesday Levi will be between the pipes on the road against Anaheim on Wednesday, Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports.
Impact Levi is currently riding a two-game winning streak during which he posted a 4.03 GAA and .810 save percentage. With those victories, the 24-year-old backstop has already matched his 2025-26 win total. At this point, it seems to be an open competition for the No. 1 role in Edmonton, especially while Frederik Andersen (knee) is on the shelf.

Sharp in Saturday's win Levi made 19 saves in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Kraken.
Impact A Bobby McMann power-play tally in the second period was all that stood between Levi and his first career NHL shutout. It was a strong bounce-back effort after he coughed up seven goals in his Oilers debut Thursday, but Levi has picked up the win in his first two starts for the team. He'll battle Tristan Jarry for playing time until Frederik Andersen (knee) gets healthy.

Getting start versus Seattle Levi will protect the home goal versus the Kraken on Saturday, Bob Stauffer of the Oilers Radio Network reports.
Impact Levi is set to start despite allowing seven goals on 22 shots in his season debut Thursday versus the Canucks. He did get the win in that contest, so it's possible he's being rewarded for the result more than the process. Tristan Jarry lost his start Opening Night, but he'll be a veteran option to fill in if Levi can't get on track.
OCTOBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
Wins ugly in season debut Levi allowed seven goals on 22 shots in Thursday's 9-7 win over the Canucks.
Impact Levi had a great chance to stake a claim to the Oilers' No. 1 job, but he looked bad under low pressure for two periods. The Canucks found a groove in the third, and only Edmonton's offense was able to bail out Levi's poor performance. Considering Tristan Jarry gave up six goals in an overtime loss to Vancouver on Tuesday, the Oilers are no closer to having a clear starter in goal yet. Their next game is at home versus the Kraken on Saturday, though neither Jarry nor Levi has done enough to be trusted in fantasy yet.

Set to face Vancouver Levi is set to start on the road against Vancouver on Thursday, per Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton.
Impact Levi had a 2-7-0 record, 4.12 GAA and .872 save percentage in nine regular-season appearances with Buffalo in 2025-26. Although he's struggled in the NHL, the Oilers are hoping that the 24-year-old will take a step forward this campaign. There is an opportunity for Levi to play a meaningful role because Frederik Andersen (knee) isn't expected to return until December at the earliest, and Tristan Jarry has endured struggles of his own over the past couple of years.

Stops 23 shots in preseason win Levi stopped 23 of 24 shots in Saturday's 4-1 preseason win over the Flames.
Impact Levi kept Calgary scoreless through the first two periods, turning aside all 16 shots he faced while Edmonton built a 3-0 advantage. His shutout bid ended when Matthew Coronato scored in the third period, but the Oilers still found a way to close the game out. The 24-year-old finished Edmonton's preseason finale with a .958 save percentage but will open the season as the No. 2 goaltender behind Tristan Jarry.

Slated to start Levi is expected to patrol the home crease in Saturday's exhibition finale against Calgary.
Impact Levi allowed one goal on 13 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime win over Winnipeg in two periods of work. He posted a 23-20-9 record with a 2.83 GAA and a .904 save percentage in 52 regular-season appearances for AHL Rochester in 2025-26. As a member of the Oilers in 2026-27, he is expected to compete for starts with Tristan Jarry until Frederik Anderson (undisclosed) recovers.

Making Oilers debut Levi will patrol the road crease in Tuesday's preseason contest against the Jets.
Impact Levi will make his Oilers debut Tuesday after he was acquired via trade in July. The 24-year-old backstop had a solid season with AHL Rochester in 2025-26, where he compiled a 23-20-9 record, a 2.83 GAA, a .904 save percentage and three shutouts across 52 regular-season appearances. He'll use Tuesday's preseason contest as an audition for the lead netminder role ahead of the 2026-27 season, as Frederik Andersen (undsiclosed) is set to miss the remainder of training camp.
SEPTEMBER 22 • ROTOWIRE
Will compete for No. 1 job Levi will be given every chance to win the No. 1 job in goal during the preseason, Janson Duench of The Athletic reports Wednesday.
Impact Levi was acquired from the Sabres on July 1. While Frederik Andersen (undisclosed) will miss the start of the season, Levi and Tristan Jarry will battle for the top job in goal. Levi will have to earn it, given Jarry's experience, but the former has the upside of youth to help him make a case. Keep a close eye on Edmonton's crease early in the season, as a strong start to the year could help Levi maintain his playing time once Andersen is back.
