Needed in relief Monday Hildeby stopped all eight shots he faced in relief of Joseph Woll in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Wild.

Impact Hildeby played the third period, and the Wild's lone tally in that frame was a Marcus Foligno empty-netter. The 24-year-old Hildeby remains at 5-6-4 with a 2.90 GAA and a .910 save percentage over 19 outings. His time with the big club could be nearing a close, as Anthony Stolarz (upper body) started a conditioning stint with AHL Toronto on Tuesday. Once Stolarz is healthy, Hildeby is likely to return to the minor-league team.

Impact Hildeby struggled in his last start Tuesday in Utah, allowing six goals on 41 shots, though to be fair, the Maple Leafs were gassed after defeating Colorado 4-3 in overtime the previous night. Hildeby is 4-6-4 with a 2.97 GAA and a .911 save percentage across 17 appearances. The Jets are hot again, winners of four games in a row after going 0-7-4 in their previous 11 contests.

Impact Hildeby has won two games in a row, with just one goal allowed in each of the contests. It's a nice contrast to his middling December, when he went 1-3-3 in seven starts with 21 goals allowed. The Leafs play back-to-back games in Colorado and Utah on Monday and Tuesday, so Hildeby is likely to get one of those games.
