Re-signs with team Chisholm inked a two-year, $3.2 million contract with Washington on Monday, PuckPedia reports.

Impact Chisholm ended the 2024-25 season mired in a 34-game goal drought during which he managed just two helpers. Despite his end-of-year slump, the 25-year-old blueliner still managed to set career highs in assists (10) and points (12). Washington's blue line is fairly crowded, so Chisholm is far from a lock to play on a nightly basis.

Trade takes him to U.S. Capital Chisholm was traded to the Capitals on Saturday in exchange for Chase Priskie, reports TSN.ca. Draft picks (2025) were also exchanged.

Impact The 25-year-old defender recorded a career-high in NHL games played in a season (66) and points (two goals, 10 assists) in 2024-25. Chisholm also ranked second among Wild defenders in takeaways (27) and third in power-play points (two). He's a strong skater who is good in transition and has offensive potential. Chisholm has PP2 upside if his development continues.

Better health means tough decisions about Wild playoff roster Jon Merrill and Declan Chisholm not happy about healthy scratches, “but they’re good team guys,” coach John Hynes said.

Slated to return Wednesday Chisholm (lower body) will return to the lineup for Wednesday's road game against the Rangers, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Impact Chisholm has missed the last four games due to a lower-body injury, but he'll be back in action Wednesday while Jon Merrill heads to the bench. Chisholm made 10 appearances in March and logged an assist, 17 blocked shots, 12 hits and four PIM while averaging 17:02 of ice time.

Still sidelined Monday Chisholm (lower body) will remain unavailable versus the Devils on Monday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Impact Chisholm will miss his fourth straight game due to his lingering lower-body issue. The 25-year-old blueliner has already set new personal bests in games played (61), assists (10) and points (12) this year. Once given the all-clear, Chisholm should slot into a third-pairing role, likely relegating Jon Merrill to the press box.

Won't play against Devils Chisholm (lower body) won't be in the lineup versus New Jersey on Saturday, according to Jessi Pierce of NHL.com.

Impact Chisholm will miss his third straight game. He has supplied registered two goals, 12 points, 61 shots on net, 66 blocked shots and 29 hits in 61 appearances this season. Chisholm's next chance to play will come versus the Devils on Monday.

MARCH 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Still out against Caps Chisholm (lower body) will not be in action versus Washington on Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Impact Chisholm has managed just one point in his last 24 appearances for the Wild, so few fantasy players are likely to be impacted by his continued absence. Even once given the all-clear, Chisholm could struggle to break into the lineup now that Jonas Brodin is healthy and available. If he does play down the stretch, Chisholm would likely take on a third-pairing role with Jon Merrill the strongest candidate to be dropped from the lineup.

MARCH 27, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Unavailable Tuesday Chisholm (lower body) won't play versus Vegas on Tuesday, according to Jessi Pierce of NHL.com.

Impact Chisholm is day-to-day and will miss at least one game after getting injured in Monday's 3-0 loss to Dallas. He has registered two goals, 12 points, 61 shots on net, 66 blocked shots and 29 hits in 61 appearances this season. Jonas Brodin (lower body) will replace Chisholm in Tuesday's lineup.

MARCH 25, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Departs Monday's game Chisholm sustained an undisclosed injury after blocking a shot in Monday's 3-0 loss to Dallas, according to Joe Smith of The Athletic.

Impact Chisholm logged two PIM and two blocked shots in 7:51 of ice time before exiting. Head coach John Hynes did not have an update on the left-shot blueliner's status after the game, and with Jonas Brodin dealing with a lower-body injury, the Wild may have to recall a defenseman from AHL Iowa ahead of Tuesday's home matchup against the Golden Knights.

MARCH 25, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Snaps slump with helper Chisholm logged an assist, two shots on goal, three hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Kraken.

Impact Chisholm snapped a point drought dating back to Jan. 12 -- he had gone 15 contests without getting on the scoresheet. He was also scratched three times in that span. The 25-year-old defenseman should have steady playing time while Jonas Brodin (lower body) is out. Chisholm probably won't be a factor in fantasy, as he's produced a modest 12 points with 57 shots on net, 50 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 53 outings this season.

MARCH 5, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Struggling on offense Chisholm has gone 11 games without a point after failing to get on the scoresheet in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Islanders.

Impact Chisholm logged just 4:25 of ice time Saturday as the Wild dressed seven blueliners in the absence of Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body). Chisholm has had a career year with 11 points over 48 appearances, but he adds little else to the mix. He's racked up 53 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating. He's been scratched twice during his drought and may be in line for a smaller role down the stretch if he can't turn things around soon.

Garners helper in win Chisholm logged an assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sharks.

Impact Chisholm poked a puck loose, and Mats Zuccarello picked up the loose change before firing it long-distance into the net while Yaroslav Askarov was on his way to the bench for an extra attacker. The helper snapped a four-game slump for Chisholm. He's been asked to fill a larger role, including a spot on the power play, while the Wild are without their three best blueliners in Brock Faber (upper body), Jared Spurgeon (lower body) and Jonas Brodin (lower body). For the season, Chisholm has 11 points, 43 shots on net, 34 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 37 appearances. He's often been in a bottom-four role, but he's worth streaming in deeper formats due to his improved spot in the lineup for the time being.

Three-game, three-point streak Chisholm scored a power-play goal Tuesday in a 5-3 win over the Predators.

Impact The 24-year-old defender has quietly put up a point (one goal, two assists) in each of his last three games. Chisholm may be in line for a bit more playing time with Jared Spurgeon being forced from Tuesday's game with a lower-body injury that put the older defender in a leg brace and on crutches after the game. Chisholm has strong offensive instincts, and he can move the puck well.

Produces assist Friday Chisholm logged an assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Stars.

Impact Chisholm picked up his second assist over 12 contests in December. The 24-year-old helped out on Marcus Foligno's game-tying goal at 11:33 of the third period. Chisholm has done fine in a bottom-four role this season, collecting eight points, 35 shots on net, 28 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 30 appearances. That's roughly in line with the nine points in 31 contests he had between Winnipeg and Minnesota in 2023-24.

Finds helper in win Chisholm logged an assist, three shots on goal, four blocked shots and two hits in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Flyers.

Impact Chisholm has gone a bit quiet on offense with two points over his last 10 games, which is how long he's been in the lineup since he was last scratched. The 24-year-old has carved out a bottom-four role and also sees some power-play time on the second unit. For the season, he has a goal, six helpers, 30 shots on net, 25 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. Chisholm's spot in the lineup should be fairly safe -- the Wild welcomed back Jonas Brodin (upper body) but will be without Jacob Middleton (hand) into the new year.

DECEMBER 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Scores first goal of season Chisholm scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Predators.

Impact Chisholm opened the scoring for Minnesota midway through the first period with a slap shot following a set-up from Frederick Gaudreau. However, this was Chisholm's first goal of the season, and the 24-year-old blue-liner doesn't produce enough on offense to be worthy of fantasy consideration. He only has one goal and five assists in 18 contests.

Collects helper Thursday Chisholm posted an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Oilers.

Impact Chisholm has a helper in four of his last six contests, but he hasn't been able to maintain a full-time role. He's competed with Jon Merrill for a spot on the third pairing, and Chisholm is also in the power-play mix when he plays. For the season, Chisholm has five assists, 12 shots on net, eight blocked shots and five hits over 14 appearances.

NOVEMBER 22, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Logs point in return Chisholm collected a power-play assist along with two shots on net, two blocks and one hit in Thursday's 3-0 win over Montreal.

Impact Chisholm's not usually on the power play, but the Wild lost a couple of top-six forwards and power-play regulars Thursday. The defenseman picked up a secondary helper with four seconds remaining on a four-minute double minor. Chisholm was a healthy scratch against the Blackhawks last Sunday but returned to the lineup, as Jonas Brodin (undisclosed) was a no-go Thursday. Chisholm has four assists, nine shots, six blocks, five hits and even through 11 outings.

NOVEMBER 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Assists in consecutive contests Chisholm produced an assist in Friday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Impact Chisholm has a helper in back-to-back games after being scratched versus the Kings on Tuesday. The 24-year-old defenseman is doing all he can to maintain a third-pairing spot over Jon Merrill. Chisholm is up to three assists, seven shots on net and an even plus-minus rating over 10 outings this season, production too light to make an impact in most fantasy formats.

NOVEMBER 9, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Offers helper Thursday Chisholm notched an assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Chisholm was scratched versus the Kings on Tuesday before replacing Jon Merrill in the lineup for Thursday's game. Chisholm made a near-immediate impact, setting up his defense partner, Zach Bogosian, for a tally just 2:22 into the game. Through nine outings this season, Chisholm has two assists, seven shots on net, four hits, four blocked shots and a plus-1 rating while filling a third-pairing role. He's not a lock for the Wild's lineup, and that makes him a non-factor in most fantasy formats.

NOVEMBER 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Picks up assist in loss Chisholm notched an assist in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Flyers.

Impact The helper was Chisholm's first point in six appearances this season. He missed the first two games of the season due to an illness, which may explain his slow start. He's also stuck on the third pairing, and while he sees time with the second power-play unit, his scoring chances are limited. The defenseman has added four shots on net, three hits and two blocked shots -- those contributions aren't enough to make him a depth option in most fantasy formats.
