Kampf (not injury related/personal) has not rejoined the Capitals for Wednesday's game versus the Senators, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Impact
Kampf returned to Vancouver on Sunday to be with his wife ahead of the birth of their second child. The 31-year-old has two goals and four assists in 38 games on the season. The Capitals have some time off and don't play again until Wednesday against the Senators.

After being traded to the Capitals from the Canucks on Friday, he is actively dealing with the immigration process from Canada and will miss the second contest he's been in the organization for. Joining Caps
Kampf was traded to Washington from Vancouver on Friday in exchange for a sixth-round pick, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.
Impact
Kampf was waived by the Leafs coming out of training camp and eventually given his outright release before signing with Vancouver. In his 38 games with the club, the 31-year-old winger notched two goals and four assists while dishing out 43 hits. None of that amounts to much in terms of fantasy value, and his move to the Capitals is unlikely to come with an increased role.

Pockets pair of helpers
Kampf registered two assists in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Capitals.
Impact
Kampf has earned three assists over the last two games after going without a point in his first nine contests in January. The 31-year-old forward continues to fill a middle-six role for the Canucks. He's earned six points, 29 shots on net, 34 hits, 16 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating over 29 appearances since joining Vancouver following the termination of his contract with Toronto in mid-November.

Collects two points
Kampf scored a goal, added an assist and logged two hits in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Flyers.
Impact
Kampf was scratched Monday in Seattle before returning to a third-line role Tuesday. The 30-year-old won't have to play above his skill level too much now that Elias Pettersson is back from an upper-body injury, which has given the Canucks more respectable center depth. Kampf has a mere three points with 14 shots on net, 15 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 18 appearances this season.

Nets opening goal
Kampf scored a goal in Friday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
Impact
This was Kampf's first goal and point since he signed with the Canucks after parting ways with the Maple Leafs via contract termination in November. The 30-year-old has been pressed into significant usage, averaging 15:28 of ice time over 14 appearances, but his playing time will shrink as the Canucks get healthier. Kampf has added 11 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and 10 hits so far.
