Secures two-year extension Dewar agreed to terms on a two-year, $4.5 million contract extension with Pittsburgh on Thursday.
Impact Dewar -- who was set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason -- is coming off a career year in which he set new personal bests in goals (14), assists (16) and shots (110) in 78 regular-season contests. While the offensive production was no doubt a bonus for the club, he was also their top penalty killer in 2025-26, logging a team-high 209:23 of shorthanded ice time.

Tallies in Game 5 win Dewar scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Monday's 3-2 win over the Flyers in Game 5.
Impact Dewar has scored both of his goals this series over the last two games. The 26-year-old has added 17 hits, providing some physicality from a fourth-line role. Dewar should continue to play regularly as the Penguins look to dig out from what was a 3-0 deficit in the series that they've now cut down to 3-2.

Pots empty-netter Dewar scored an empty-net goal and added five hits in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Flyers in Game 4.
Impact Dewar got on the scoresheet for the first time in four games in this series. He missed the last four contests of the regular-season due to a lower-body injury. The 26-year-old bottom-six forward had a career-best 30 points over 78 regular-season outings. Over three prior playoff runs, Dewar had collected just one assist over 13 games.

Impact Dewar missed the final four games of the regular season due to a lower-body injury, but he practiced in a regular sweater Thursday and will be back in action for the start of the postseason. Dewar generated 14 goals, 16 assists, 144 hits, 46 blocked shots and 19 PIM over 78 regular-season appearances, and he should reclaim a fourth-line role now that he's healthy.

Working in regular seater Dewar (lower body) practiced in a regular jersey Thursday, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.
Impact Dewar was previously deemed week-to-week but seems to be trending in the right direction ahead of the postseason. The 26-year-old center has missed the Pens' prior four contests due to his lower-body problem. The Manitoba native is currently mired in a 15-game goal drought during which he notched five assists, 21 hits and 11 shots. If given the all-clear, Dewar should reclaim a spot on the fourth line.

Impact Dewar will miss his second straight game against Washington on Saturday and won't be an option for the remainder of the regular season. He has earned 14 goals, 30 points, 110 shots on net and 144 hits across 78 appearances in 2025-26.

Out of action Thursday Dewar (lower body) won't play Thursday versus the Devils.
Impact Dewar is considered day-to-day at this time. The Penguins could lock up a playoff spot with a win, so Dewar may be eased back into action. The 26-year-old plays a key defensive role, so he'll likely be aiming to be ready for a playoff opener rather than playing in any of the last three regular-season contests.

Provides pair of helpers Dewar logged two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Monday's 7-2 win over the Avalanche.
Impact Dewar picked up his first multi-point effort since Jan. 31 versus the Rangers. The 26-year-old forward continues to center the fourth line, providing defensive stability and a decent share of depth offense this year. He's got career highs across the board with 14 goals, 13 helpers, 100 shots on net, 130 hits and a plus-12 rating through 67 appearances.

Pots goal in overtime win Dewar scored a goal on four shots and added four hits in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win over the Bruins.
Impact Dewar ended a six-game skid with the tally. He had five points over five contests before the Olympic break, but the time off appears to have sapped his momentum. The 26-year-old is up to 14 goals, 25 points, 99 shots on net, 123 hits, 35 blocked shots and a plus-14 rating over 63 appearances in the best season of his career to date.

Impact Dewar has multiple points in three of his last six games, producing four goals, two assists, 10 shots, 19 hits and a plus-8 rating. The 26-year-old is still on the fourth line, but something has clicked for his trio with Blake Lizotte and Noel Acciari lately. Dewar has a career-high 23 points with 80 shots on net, 99 hits, 25 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 53 appearances.
