Alexander Holtz - NHL News & Rumors

Tallies twice for Henderson Holtz scored two goals in AHL Henderson's 4-3 win over Bakersfield on Saturday.

Impact Holtz is off to a strong start in the AHL after this performance. He hasn't played regularly in the minor league since 2021-22, but he was unable to make the Golden Knights' Opening Night roster for 2026-27. Holtz could still be a call-up option if he performs well with Henderson early in the campaign.

Goes on waiver wire Holtz was placed on waivers Sunday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.

Impact Holtz contributed three goals, six assists, 30 shots on net and 29 hits in 28 appearances for Vegas during the 2025-26 regular season. He will likely begin the 2026-27 campaign with AHL Henderson if he clears waivers.

Summoned from AHL Holtz was recalled from AHL Henderson on Tuesday, per SinBin.vegas.

Impact Holtz will join Vegas' Black Aces ahead of Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against Colorado on Wednesday. He had three goals, nine points, 30 shots on net and 29 hits in 28 appearances for the Golden Knights during the 2025-26 regular season.

MAY 19 • ROTOWIRE

Three-point game for Henderson Holtz scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Henderson's 8-3 win over Calgary on Thursday.

Impact Holtz has a pair of three-point efforts over his seven games in the AHL this season. His goal was his first for Henderson since he was sent down in early March. If he does well, he could work his way back to the Golden Knights as a depth forward for the playoffs.

MARCH 20 • ROTOWIRE

Trio of assists in win Holtz logged three assists in AHL Henderson's 7-6 overtime win over Tucson on Wednesday.

Impact Holtz has four helpers over three contests since he joined the Silver Knights after passing through waivers Friday. The 24-year-old is eligible for the AHL playoffs with that move, but he'll also be organizational depth for the big club should any injuries take out a forward. Holtz had nine points in 28 games with the Golden Knights prior to his demotion.

MARCH 12 • ROTOWIRE

Placed on waivers Holtz (upper body) was put on waivers by Vegas on Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Impact Holtz has missed the last two games with his injury. He has three goals and six assists in 28 games. The Golden Knights picked up Nic Dowd from Washington earlier in the day and that could spell the end for Holtz and Vegas the remainder of the season.

MARCH 5 • ROTOWIRE

Not available Wednesday Holtz (upper body) won't play Wednesday versus the Red Wings, Ryan Wallis of Fox Sports Las Vegas reports.

Impact Holtz is set for his second straight absence due to the issue. It's unclear if he'll be ready to play Friday versus the Wild. Even when healthy, the Golden Knights' trade for Cole Smith, who is debuting for the team Wednesday, may make it tough for Holtz to secure regular playing time.

MARCH 4 • ROTOWIRE

Dealing with injury Holtz (upper body) isn't expected to play against Buffalo on Tuesday, per SinBin.vegas.

Impact Holtz will miss at least one game after being absent from the team's morning skate. He hasn't earned a point in nine NHL appearances this season while posting 10 shots on goal and 16 hits. With Holtz and Mark Stone (upper body) unavailable, Raphael Lavoie will suit up against the Sabres on Tuesday.

MARCH 3 • ROTOWIRE

Finds twine Wednesday Holtz scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Canucks.

Impact Holtz has picked up the pace a bit with five points over his last nine outings. He started Wednesday's game on the top line, but he saw just 14:09 of ice time. He's mostly filled a bottom-six role this season, earning eight points, 26 shots on net, 24 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 25 appearances. Holtz will need to show steady offense over a longer stretch to work his way into the fantasy conversation.

Pots goal, adds assist Holtz scored a goal, added an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Predators.

Impact Holtz tied the game at 1-1 in the second period and set up a Cole Reinhardt tally in the third. This was Holtz's second multi-point effort in his last eight games, but he's also been scratched four times in that span. The 23-year-old has mostly seen bottom-six minutes when in the lineup, which has limited his production. He's up to two goals, three helpers, 19 shots on net and a plus-1 rating through 17 appearances. Until Holtz can secure more playing time, he's a poor option for most fantasy formats.

Earns two points Saturday Holtz scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and logged two blocked shots in Saturday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Avalanche.

Impact This was Holtz's second game in a row in the lineup, though it was just his fourth appearance since the start of November. He made a decent case to stick for a while with his first two points of the campaign, including the opening goal at 2:43 of the first period. Holtz has added 15 shots on net, five blocked shots, two hits, six PIM and a minus-1 rating over 10 games this season. For now, he's holding off Cole Reinhardt for a spot in the lineup, though Holtz could still find himself back in the press box once Jack Eichel (lower body) is healthy.

Boxed out of lineup Holtz was a healthy scratch for the ninth time in 10 games in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Impact Braeden Bowman made his NHL debut Nov. 13, and his early success has kept Holtz firmly in the press box even in the absence of Mark Stone (wrist). Holtz didn't miss training camp while awaiting a new contract, but he's not getting much of a chance to showcase his skills. The 23-year-old winger could be a candidate for a conditioning loan at AHL Henderson if he sits around much longer. He has no points, 12 shots on net and a minus-1 rating over seven outings this season.

Signs two-year contract Holtz signed a two-year, $1.675 million contract with Vegas on Tuesday.

Impact Holtz contributed four goals, 12 points, 69 shots on net and 39 hits across 53 regular-season games in 2024-25. He will probably occupy a depth role with the Golden Knights this campaign, but he may not be an every-game player in the lineup.
