Pots goal in Stadium Series game Steeves scored a goal and added two hits in Sunday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Lightning in the Stadium Series.

Impact Steeves had been scratched for the previous two games, but he replaced Pavel Zacha (upper body) for the Stadium Series contest. The goal snapped a 15-game goal drought, and he had gone eight outings without a point entering Sunday. Steeves saw some top-six usage earlier in the season, but until his offense improves, he looks to be firmly in a bottom-six role. The 26-year-old is at nine goals, 15 points, 46 shots on net, 123 hits, 32 PIM, 25 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 37 appearances.

Inks two-year deal Steeves signed a two-year, $3.25 million contract extension with the Bruins on Wednesday.

Impact Steeves has proved his mettle in his first full year at the NHL level, which has led to finding an everyday role with the Bruins since he was called up in mid-November. He's flashed the ability to heat up offensively, as shown when he posted three multi-point efforts across a five-game stretch between late November and early December. Overall, the 26-year-old winger has eight goals, 14 points, 44 shots on net, 117 hits and 22 blocked shots across 33 games this season. He should continue to supply decent category-coverage stats from a bottom-six role moving forward.

Tuesday's performance was the second time in the last four games that he's lit the lamp twice, and after managing just one goal in his first 14 NHL games over the prior four seasons while getting occasional cups of coffee with the Maple Leafs, Steeves now has five goals in 12 games as a Bruin while also racking up 42 hits. He's shown plenty of scoring acumen in the AHL, including 36 goals in 59 games for the Marlies in 2024-25, and while he'll get bumped from his current assignment as soon as Pastrnak is ready to return, Steeves might be making a case to stick around in a middle-six role.
