Impact The wideout reportedly is bothered by a minor injury, with coach Brian Flores even suggesting Thursday morning that Fuller might be able to practice through it. The Dolphins ultimately held him out, freeing up first-team reps for the likes of Albert Wilson, Jakeem Grant and Lynn Bowden, in addition to rookie first-round pick Jaylen Waddle. Meanwhile, Fuller, DeVante Parker (undisclosed) and Preston Williams (foot) are all unavailable for practice.

Impact Even if he sits out, it's a good sign that the Dolphins are at least considering letting him practice. Fuller needs to serve the final game of his suspension Week 1, but after that, it won't come as any surprise if he emerges as QB Tua Tagovailoa's favorite pass catcher. Granted, there are other candidates for that designation, namely DeVante Parker, Jaylen Waddle and TE Mike Gesicki.

Impact Fuller finally managed to put together a healthy season in 2020, but he was forced to miss his final five games with the Texans due to a six-game PED suspension, so he won't be eligible to debut for the Dolphins until Week 2. The soon-to-be 27-year-old will bring a much needed big-play factor to Miami's receiving corps once he's available, slotting in as the passing game's premier deep threat while DeVante Parker and Preston Williams (foot) operate as contested catch specialists. Fuller is certainly betting on himself by taking a one-year 'prove-it' deal, but if he can stay healthy and open things up for Tua Tagovailoa downfield, he'll position himself well for a lucrative multi-year contract come 2022.
