Inactives: RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder) ruled out The following players will be inactive for Sunday’s game between the Giants and Saints in New Orleans.
OCTOBER 5, 2025 • GIANTS.COM
Inactive again in Week 5 Tracy (shoulder) is listed as inactive Sunday at New Orleans, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Tracy got back on the practice field Friday for the first time since dislocating his right shoulder Week 3 versus the Chiefs, but the limited session wasn't enough for the Giants to clear him for game action. While Tracy is missing a second consecutive contest, Cam Skattebo will continue to lead New York's backfield, and Devin Singletary will mix in behind him. Tracy's next chance to return to action is Thursday against the Eagles.

Earns doubtful tag for Week 5 Tracy (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest at New Orleans, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Tracy practiced Friday for the first time since dislocating his right shoulder Week 3 against the Chiefs, with coach Brian Daboll saying the running back is "a lot better," per Salomone. Considering his listing ahead of Week 5 action, though, Tracy isn't a candidate to return to action this weekend. Assuming Tracy is confirmed to be inactive about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, the Giants again will turn to rookie Cam Skattebo to lead the backfield, with Devin Singletary available for any RB reps that linger.
OCTOBER 3, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
In line to practice Friday Coach Brian Daboll noted that Tracy (shoulder) is slated to practice Friday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Per the report, Tracy, who didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday -- is doing "a lot better," and the running back's status for Sunday's game against the Saints has yet to be determined. Added clarity on that front will arrive via the Giants' final injury report Friday, but if Tracy is ultimately forced to miss another game, Cam Skattebo would continue to lead the team's backfield versus New Orleans, with Devin Singletary on hand to work in a complementary role.
OCTOBER 3, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Remains absent from practice Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Tracy (shoulder) won't practice Thursday, Evan Barnes of Newsday reports.
Impact Tracy has yet to resume practicing since dislocated his right shoulder in the Giants' 22-9 loss to the Chiefs on Sept. 21. With reports suggesting that Tracy will need 2-to-4 weeks to make a full recovery from the injury, he's on track to miss a second straight game Sunday in New Orleans, though the running back could have a shot at playing in the Giants' Week 6 matchup with the Eagles next Thursday. Tracy's upcoming absence this weekend should once again clear the way for rookie Cam Skattebo to take on a leading role out of the backfield.
OCTOBER 2, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Absent from practice Wednesday Tracy (shoulder) is not practicing Wednesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Impact Tracy's shoulder injury forced him to sit out Week 4, and reports suggest that he'll be sidelined multiple games, though the Giants haven't yet officially ruled him out for Sunday's contest against the Saints. In the event that Tracy is sidelined again Week 5, Devin Singletary will get another opportunity to contribute as the No. 2 running back behind rookie Cam Skattebo.

2025 NFL Week 4 Buzz: Jets QB Justin Fields Back; 3 Bucs Stars Likely to Play
Ruled out for Week 4 Tracy (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact The Giants waited until Friday to rule Tracy out, even though reports suggest he'll miss multiple games. Cam Skattebo took 69 percent of snaps after Tracy's early departure from the Week 3 loss to Kansas City, finishing the night with 16 touches for 121 yards and a touchdown. Devin Singletary had just four carries for 11 yards, but there's some chance he'll be more involved now that the Giants had time to prepare for Tracy's absence.

DNP on Wednesday Tracy (shoulder) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site rpeorts.
Impact Tracy exited this past Sunday's loss to the Chiefs in the first quarter due to a shoulder injury, which was revealed to be a dislocation one day later. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Tuesday that Tracy was expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks, and the running back's absence Wednesday is the first step in advance of him getting ruled out ahead of or being inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers. Rookie fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo figures to handle a healthy portion of the Giants backfield reps moving forward, but Devin Singletary also is on hand for any snaps and touches that linger.

2025 NFL Week 4 Best Bets, Expert Picks: Back Rams to Bounce Back Against Colts
Could miss 2-4 weeks Tracy, who suffered a dislocated shoulder Sunday, is expected to be sidelined two to four weeks, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Impact Per Dan Salomone and Matt Citak of the Giants' official site, coach Brian Daboll noted Monday that the team was still in the process of getting more information about the running back's injury, but it looks like Tracy is going to miss some time. In that scenario, added backfield reps, beginning this weekend against the Chargers, would be available for Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary.

Expected to miss time Tracy suffered a dislocated right shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Chiefs and is in line to miss time, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Tracy handled seven carries for 29 rushing yards and caught two of three targets for seven yards having before being forced out late in the first quarter versus Kansas City. It was notable to see Tracy handle such a notable workload after having taken a backseat to rookie Cam Skatteboo in Week 2. Now that Tracy is expected to miss at least a few games, however, Skattebo has a clear path to the Giant's lead-back role, and Devin Singletary becomes positioned as the No. 2 backfield option. The team hasn't officially commented on the severity of Tracy's injury yet, so it remains to be seen whether he'll be a candidate for IR.
