Limited at walk-through
Higbee (hand) is listed as limited on Wednesday's practice estimate, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Impact
During Week 7 prep, Higbee didn't practice before putting in a limited showing Saturday, but that brief showing wasn't enough for him to get clearance to play against the Bears. According to coach Sean McVay, Higbee again was limited at Wednesday's walk-through, but the tight end remains day-to-day due to "a pretty gnarly hand contusion," per Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic. The bruise is "painful and affecting the mobility" of Higbee's hand, so his status should continue to be monitored as the weekend draws closer. Meanwhile, fellow TE Gerald Everett sat out Wednesday with an illness.

Won't play Monday
Higbee (hand) is listed as inactive Monday versus the Bears, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Impact
In the midst of Higbee following a DNP/DNP/LP practice regimen, coach Sean McVay said Friday that the TE was expected to play through the hand injury he suffered Week 6 at San Francisco. That said, the Rams have changed course and opted to keep Higbee in street clothes Monday. In Higbee's place, Gerald Everett will be the Rams' top TE in Week 7, with Johnny Mundt and Brycen Hopkins on hand for any lingering reps.

Questionable, expected to play
Higbee (hand) is listed as questionable for Monday's contest but is expected to play, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Impact
It'll be interesting to see how much Higbee can really do as a pass catcher if he's active Monday, as the tight end injured his hand in the loss to the 49ers last week. While coach Sean McVay has been adamant Higbee will play Monday, it's possible Higbee could primarily be used as a blocker, with any pass-catching responsibilities falling upon Gerald Everett. Higbee played 75 percent of the snaps Sunday against the 49ers compared to Everett's 50, but both tight ends ended up running the same amount of routes (17).

Misses practice, should play Week 7
Higbee (hand) won't participate in Friday's practice, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Impact
Higbee's back-to-back absences to begin the practice week would normally be cause for concern, but Rams head coach Sean McVay downplayed the situation, saying that he expects the tight end to be good to go for Monday's game against the Bears, per Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic. Before deciding whether Higbee carries a designation into the Week 7 contest, the Rams will wait and see what he's able to do in their final practice of the week Saturday. Since his big three-touchdown outburst Week 2, Higbee has disappointed with 10 receptions for 128 yards and no trips to the end zone over the subsequent four games.

No practice Thursday
Higbee (hand) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Aside from a three-touchdown showing Week 2, Higbee has been difficult to rely on, as he's yet to surpass 60 yards in any game this season. Now with a hand injury in tow, his practice level will need to be monitored in advance of Monday's game against the Bears. If the issue lingers or even forces an absence, Higbee would cede snaps and targets to Gerald Everett.

Shows off with 31-yard grab
Higbee caught three of four targets for 57 yards during Sunday's 24-16 loss to San Francisco.
Impact
The bulk of Higbee's production came on a 31-yard reception in the third quarter, and he also hauled in a 17-yard pass during the Rams' first drive. This was the fifth-year tight end's best game since scoring three touchdowns Week 2 against Philadelphia, and while he's probably still a little risky in most fantasy settings, Sunday's showing was a step in the right direction. Just remember head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Jared Goff tend to spread the ball around, and fellow tight end Gerald Everett has seven receptions over the past two weeks and is emerging as another trusted weapon in the Los Angeles passing attack.

Disappointing season continues
Higbee caught both his targets for 12 yards during Sunday's 30-10 win over Washington.
Impact
With just seven receptions for 72 yards over the past three weeks, Higbee's fantasy value continues to dwindle. Making matters worse, fellow tight end Gerald Everett led the Rams in receiving with four receptions for 90 yards Sunday. Higbee also only ran 16 routes, which tied for his lowest mark of the season. He's currently difficult to trust in most settings.

Held to just 21 receiving yards
Higbee caught three of four targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 17-9 win over the Giants.
Impact
Outside of Higbee's huge Week 2 showing that included three touchdowns, the fifth-year tight end has been held to just eight receptions for 101 yards across his other three games. Those numbers aren't moving the needle, and after a strong five-week stretch (43 receptions for 522 yards and two touchdowns) to conclude the 2019 campaign, his inconsistency to start this year should have fantasy managers concerned about relying on Higbee week in, week out.

Slowed down by Bills
Higbee caught both his targets for 40 yards during Sunday's 35-32 loss to Buffalo. He also caught a pass to complete a two-point conversion.
Impact
After scoring three touchdowns last week against Philadelphia, it wasn't surprising to see Buffalo focus on slowing down Higbee, and he didn't catch a pass until halfway through the third quarter. The fourth-year tight end did have an impressive 31-yard reception and remains a focal point of the passing attack, but opposing teams are also likely going to continue game planning to keep him in check. Week-to-week inconsistently could quickly prove to be part and parcel for Higbee moving forward.
