INJURIES

Scores in win over Cards Higbee caught four of six targets for 24 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 38-28 win over Arizona.
Impact While the touchdown was nice to see from the veteran tight end, Higbee remains a tough start in most fantasy settings. He's produced just 4.1 yards per target over the past three games and has only topped 50 receiving yards in three games all season. The Rams spread the ball around amongst their deep arsenal of playmakers, and Higbee just hasn't been targeted enough -- especially downfield -- to make an impact. After a late-season breakout in 2019, It's been an extremely disappointing 2020 campaign from Higbee thus far.

The Latest: Pats' Newton hits rushing TDs milestone for QBs

Cam Newton is the first quarterback in league history with four games in a season with multiple rushing touchdowns

Active for Sunday's game Higbee (elbow) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Impact Higbee, who's recorded 27 catches (on 35 targets) for 315 yards and three TDs (all in Week 2) in nine games to date, was listed as a non-participant in practice all week due to an elbow injury that he suffered during Week 11 action, so it remains to be seen how close to a full workload he'll see Sunday. If he's limited at all in the contest, added tight-end snaps would be available for Gerald Everett and Johnny Mundt.

Hinton promoted with all 4 Denver QBs out

With their four quarterbacks all out, the Denver Broncos have promoted rookie receiver Kendall Hinton from their practice squad Sunday to play QB against the New Orleans Saints

Status in question for Sunday Higbee (elbow) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the 49ers, Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Impact Higbee was unable to practice all week due to an elbow injury that he suffered during a Week 11 win at Tampa Bay. During a media session Friday, coach Sean McVay said Higbee will be a game-time call as a result, meaning his availability likely will come down to how he looks during a pregame warmup. The Rams will make a ruling on Higbee's status about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. If Higbee is limited or doesn't play at all, Gerald Everett and Johnny Mundt will take on extra TE reps.

Tyler Higbee (elbow) to be game-time decision for Rams vs. 49ers The Rams could be without Tyler Higbee for the second time this season.
NOVEMBER 27, 2020 • USATODAY.COM
No practice Thursday Higbee (elbow) was held out of practice Thursday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Impact Sean McVay called Higbee day-to-day Wednesday, but just one day later the coach referred to the tight end as a game-time decision for Sunday's contest against the 49ers, per Rodrigue. Ideally, Higbee will get in some practice reps before week's end, but he only has one more chance to do so Friday. If Higbee is inhibited or not able to play this weekend, Gerald Everett and Johnny Mundt will take on larger roles in the Rams' passing attack.

Rams put leading tackler Micah Kiser on injured reserve

NOVEMBER 26, 2020 • Associated Press
Sits out Wednesday's practice Higbee (elbow) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Impact Coach Sean McVay said earlier Wednesday that the 27-year-old was day-to-day with an elbow injury, so it's not a major surprise to see Higbee sitting out after Monday's win over Tampa Bay. Higbee's practice participation Thursday and Friday should provide a better idea of his potential availability for this weekend's matchup with the 49ers.
NOVEMBER 26, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with elbow injury Coach Sean McVay said Higbee suffered an elbow injury during Monday's win at Tampa Bay and is considered day-to-day, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Impact Higbee picked up the issue in the second half of the aforementioned game, logging 72 percent of the snaps on offense in the process. The Rams will reveal Higbee's activity level upon the release of Wednesday's injury report.

Rams deserve spot among NFC's top contenders down stretch

The Los Angeles Rams must be considered one of the NFC's top Super Bowl contenders after their latest road win in Tampa Bay
NOVEMBER 24, 2020 • Associated Press
Pedestrian numbers in MNF win Higbee caught all four of his targets for 19 yards and added a one-yard rush during Monday's 27-24 win over Tampa Bay.
Impact Interestingly, all four of Higbee's targets came on first downs, as head coach Sean McVay clearly leaned on the veteran tight end to create favorable distances to move the chains. However, Higbee's numbers didn't move the fantasy needle Monday, and his underwhelming season continues to drag along. Fantasy managers should probably aim higher in the majority of settings.

Finds form in win over Seahawks Higbee caught three of six targets for a season-high 60 yards during Sunday's 23-16 win over Seattle.
Impact The fifth-year tight end was particularly instrumental on Los Angeles' second drive with receptions of 39 and 14 yards before a rushing score from running back Darrell Henderson put Los Angeles in the lead for good. Higbee's been quiet since scoring three touchdowns Week 2 against Philadelphia, but this was a better outing and could prove to be a sign of things to come. Fantasy managers will still probably want to keep expectations in check, though.

Feels recovered from hand injury Higbee said Thursday that his hand "finally feels good," Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Impact Higbee missed Week 7 due to a hand contusion but managed to return against Miami in Week 9, when he caught two passes for 14 yards. Now coming off Los Angeles' bye, it looks like the 27-year-old is back to 100 percent. Per Rodrigue, Higbee may even be able to shed his hand brace during Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Pair of catches in return Higbee (hand) brought in two of four targets for 14 yards in the Rams' 28-17 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
Impact Higbee made his return from a one-game absence due to a hand contusion, but he didn't stand out in a loss that was more lopsided than the final score implies. Outside of a spectacular three-touchdown day in Week 2 against the Eagles, Higbee hasn't done much of note through the first half of his season, topping out at the five catches and 54 yards he posted in that contest in terms of single-game highs. He'll look to utilize the bye week to further recover before a key Week 10 matchup against the Seahawks.
NOVEMBER 1, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Available in Week 8 Higbee (hand) is listed as active Sunday in Miami, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Impact Despite his hand injury described as a "pretty gnarly" contusion, Higbee will miss just one game as a result. While he may play second fiddle to fellow TE Gerald Everett, Higbee will look to produce against a Dolphins defense that has allowed just 6.6 YPT and no touchdowns to the position this season.
NOVEMBER 1, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Week 8 status TBD Higbee (hand), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, is "pushing to play," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact That said, Rapoport suggests that with a bye coming up in Week 9 and Johnny Mundt on hand to provide depth at tight end behind Gerald Everett, it might make sense for the Rams to rest Higbee for another game. Confirmation on whether Higbee will play or sit out Week 8 will arrive once the team's inactives are released approximately 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

New DT A'Shawn Robinson eager to be Rams' midseason addition

OCTOBER 30, 2020 • Associated Press
Considered game-time decision Higbee (hand) will be a game-time decision Sunday in Miami, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Impact The Rams are listing Higbee as questionable for a second straight week, hoping he'll be able to suit up this time. He was a limited practice participant Wednesday and Thursday, whereas last week he didn't do any work until the final session (Saturday) before the game. It is possible Higbee has his pass-catching role scaled back even if he plays, as coach Sean McVay recently referred to the tight end's hand contusion as "pretty gnarly".

Rams injury report: Tyler Higbee (hand) still limited Thursday Tyler Higbee’s availability for Sunday’s game remains in question.
OCTOBER 30, 2020 • USATODAY.COM
Remains limited at practice Higbee (hand) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Impact Higbee has strung together back-to-back limited sessions, with Thursday's showing coinciding with the Rams' most rigorous workout of the week, per Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com. On Wednesday, coach Sean McVay referred to Higbee's hand injury as "a pretty gnarly hand contusion," so it remains to be seen if he'll be able to cap his time away from the field to just one game. Elsewhere in the TE room, Gerald Everett (illness) followed up Wednesday's DNP with a full practice Thursday, giving the Rams at least one of their top two tight ends for Sunday's contest at Miami.
