Signs with Denver
The Broncos signed Jones to a one-year deal Thursday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Impact
With the Broncos, Jones -- who spent time with the Saints and Seahawks last season -- is reunited with coach Sean Payton, who worked with the running back while both were with New Orleans. While Jones was limited to just 10 carries in six games last season, he could potentially carve out a third-string role in Denver behind Javonte Williams (knee) and Samaje Perine.

Not tendered by Seattle
Jones wasn't tendered an offer from the Seahawks as a restricted free agent, according to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.
Impact
Jones landed in Seattle late last year after he was cut by the Saints. He rushed eight times for 16 yards in a Seahawks uniform and will head to the open market, where he'll look to latch on as a camp body in an effort to make a team this summer.

Inactive for wild-card game
Jones is listed as inactive for Saturday's wild-card matchup with the 49ers due to a coach's decision.
Impact
Jones is the odd-man-out at running back, as Seattle will be suting up Kenneth Walker, DeeJay Dallas and Godwin Igwebuike.

Signed to active roster
Seattle signed Jones to its active roster Friday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact
Jones will provide depth at running back with DeeJay Dallas (ankle) listed as questionable for Saturday's wild-card matchup against the 49ers. The undrafted running back out of Notre Dame made four regular-season appearances with the Seahawks this season, totaling 11 touches for 34 yards across 26 offensive snaps.

Back with Seattle's practice squad
Jones signed with the Seahawks' practice squad Monday.
Impact
The Seahawks continue to expertly maneuver Jones' roster status as the third-year back has bounced between the active roster and practice squad for most of the year. Given Kenneth Walker's numerous injuries over the past couple of weeks, it wouldn't be surprising to see Jones crack the active roster before the end of the season.

ROTOWIRE
Inactive Thursday
Jones (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against San Francisco, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Impact
Jones won't play in Week 15 due to a coach's decision, ultimately due to the fact that Kenneth Walker (ankle) is set to return after missing last week's loss to the Panthers. In the Week 14 defeat, Jones only played five offensive snaps, while Travis Homer saw a majority of the workload. With DeeJay Dallas (ankle) also inactive again Thursday night Travis Homer is in line to back up Walker against the 49ers.

ROTOWIRE
Just two touches in loss
Jones rushed once for two yards and didn't gain any yards on his one catch (two targets) in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Panthers.
Impact
Jones was in line for a respectable workload because Kenneth Walker (ankle) and DeeJay Dallas (ankle) were inactive. However, Jones played just five offensive snaps while Travis Homer got the start and handled 48 snaps. There's a quick turnaround ahead of Thursday's matchup versus the 49ers, so there's a decent chance Walker and Dallas sit out again. It will be difficult to trust Jones for fantasy purposes considering his disappointing Week 14 usage.

Timeshare on tap Sunday?
GM John Schneider said on Seattle Sports pregame show that he expects Jones, Travis Homer and Godwin Igwebuike all to get work in the Seahawks backfield Sunday versus the Panthers...
Impact
Jones has a chance to produce Week 14 with two of Seattle's top three running backs sidelined. Still, his overall stat line this season (seven carries for 14 yards, two catches for 18 yards) pales in comparison to Homer's (9-43-0 and 10-124-1, respectively). Adam Schefter of ESPN reported earlier Sunday that Jones could get the start over Homer, but considering Schneider's comment a timeshare may be in store for this backfield, which doesn't bode well for any of Jones, Homer or Igwebuike to put up a notable fantasy day.

Seahawks RB depth chart: Will Seattle start Travis Homer or Tony Jones Jr. after Kenneth Walker injury?
The Seahawks are down to their fourth-string running back as a starter in Week 14. But who exactly is that?

Could get Week 14 start
Adam Schefter said on ESPN's broadcast of "Fantasy Football Now" that he expects Jones to draw the start at running back over Travis Homer in Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Impact
Even if Jones is on the field for Seattle's first offensive snap of the game, it doesn't guarantee that he'll be in line for the biggest workload in a backfield that is expected to be without regular starter Kenneth Walker (ankle) and third-stringer DeeJay Dallas (ankle). When all of Walker, Dallas, Homer and Jones have been available, Jones has typically found himself on the inactive list, while Homer has usually served as the top change-of-pace option behind Walker. Expect Homer to at least serve as Seattle's preferred pass-catching back, and he could have the opportunity to poach carries from Jones if the latter struggles to get going early Sunday. Jones carried seven times for just 14 yards in last week's win over the Rams and has averaged 2.7 yards over 66 career carries across three NFL seasons.

Expanded role likely awaits

Impact
While Homer was inactive for last week's 27-23 win over the Rams, Jones suited up for Seattle for just the third time all season as the team's third running back behind Walker and Dallas. With both Walker and Dallas suffering injuries during the contest, Jones saw his first snaps on offense for Seattle, finishing with seven carries for 14 yards and two catches for 18 yards on four targets across 23 plays. Homer returned to full practice activity Thursday and is good to go for Sunday's contest, but because Seattle has rarely used him as much more than a change-of-pace option during his time with the team, it's possible that he shares snaps out of the backfield with Jones. Though both Homer and Jones look like better fantasy options than usual because of the absences of Walker and Dallas, the uncertainty of how head coach Pete Carroll may divide up the backfield work makes it tough to bank on either player to produce a useful line. Seattle also added a third running back, Godwin Igwebuike, from the practice squad Saturday to further gum up the works.

Logs seven carries in relief
Jones rushed seven times for 14 yards and caught two of four targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 27-23 win over the Rams.
Impact
Jones entered the game as the No. 3 running back because Travis Homer (knee/illness) was inactive, but he was the last man standing in the backfield after Kenneth Walker (ankle) and DeeJay Dallas (ankle) both exited with injuries. Head coach Pete Carroll said that both Walker and Dallas underwent MRIs and haven't been ruled out for Week 14 versus the Panthers, and he won't know Homer's status until later in the week. At 5-foot-11, 224 pounds, Jones has the frame to carry a hefty workload, but he hasn't been efficient at the NFL level with 66 rushes for 177 yards (3.9 YPC). The Seahawks would likely sign a free agent or activate either Godwin Igwebuike or Darwin Thompson from the practice squad as depth options in the event Walker, Dallas and Homer can't go.

Healthy scratch Sunday
Jones (coach's decision) was ruled inactive ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants.
Impact
Jones signed with Seattle after being waived by the Saints on Oct. 8, though he has yet to see any action on offense with the Seahawks. The 24-year-old played 11 special-teams snaps over the past two weeks, and his next opportunity to play will come against the Cardinals on Sunday, Nov. 6.

No offensive snaps
Jones didn't play an offensive snap in Sunday's 37-23 win over the Chargers.
Impact
Jones has suited up in two games for the Seahawks this season, but he has played exclusively on special teams while Kenneth Walker and DeeJay Dallas handled the offensive duties. Once Travis Homer (ribs) returns, Jones' chances of seeing the field will be essentially eliminated.

Jones was awarded to the Seahawks on waivers.

Finds new home
Jones was claimed off waivers from the Saints on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact
Jones hit the waiver wire Saturday, and with Rashaad Penny suffering a season-ending ankle injury against the Saints in Week 5, the former will now provide depth at running back for the Seahawks. Jones appeared in two games for the Saints this season, recording two carries for eight yards, while also hauling in each of his two targets for 12 yards.

Healthy scratch Sunday
Jones (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest at Carolina.
Impact
During Alvin Kamara's only appearance of the season Week 1, Jones was active but only earned one snap on offense. With Kamara out last Sunday against the Buccaneers due to a rib injury, Jones played 48 percent of the offensive snaps en route to four touches for 20 yards from scrimmage. Kamara is back in action this weekend, and with Mark Ingram also available, coach Dennis Allen has opted to keep Jones in street clothes this time around.

ROTOWIRE
Leads rushers in total snaps
Jones recorded eight yards over two carries and caught two targets for 12 yards during Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Buccaneers.
Impact
Though Jones finished as the Saints' third-leading rusher behind Mark Ingram (10 carries, 60 yards) and Dwayne Washington (four carries, eight yards) with Alvin Kamara (ribs) sidelined Sunday, he actually paced the team's running backs corps in total offensive snaps played with 32. The 5-foot-11, 224-pound back made perhaps his largest impact as a pass blocker while lining up in the backfield on 48 percent of New Orleans' offensive snaps against Tampa Bay. Jones recorded 142 yards on 54 rushes over 11 games with the Saints last season, and his overall impact in both the rushing and passing games could make him an overall more valuable back than Washington should Kamara remain out in Week 3 against the Panthers.
