Buffalo Bills coach Joe Brady has ruled out starting defensive tackle Ed Oliver and receiver Joshua Palmer from playing at the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night

NFL debut on tap Bell will make his NFL regular-season debut against the Rams on Monday due to the absence of Joshua Palmer (shoulder), Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Impact Bell has been a healthy scratch for each of the Bills' first four games of the regular season. However, he's expected to absorb Palmer's reps during Monday's game, and Bell could take on an even larger role if DJ Moore (shoulder) is also ruled out. Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and tight end Dalton Kincaid figure to be Josh Allen's go-to pass catchers if Moore cannot play, but Bell will at least be in the mix for targets in his NFL debut.

While Bell still has a promising long-term outlook after a solid Week 3 effort in the preseason, this doesn't bode well for anyone hoping for early-season utility. In his stead, veteran Greg Dortch, who was elevated from the practice squad Saturday, will get the nod on the active roster.

Impact The rookie fourth-rounder out of UConn led the Bills in both receiving and rushing on the night. He had missed both preseason games due to a lower-body injury but returned to practice last week and was ready to go for the preseason finale.
