It's unlikely that Thompson will crack the Rams' 53-man roster, but a good showing for the rest of training camp and in the preseason finale against the Texans on Saturday could help his chances of sticking around on the taxi squad.

Impact Thompson was let go by the Seahawks in early December and he will now join the Cowboys' practice unit prior to Week 18. The 24-year-old will provide Dallas with an additional running back option heading into the postseason.
