Impact Griffin, who has been with the Bucs since September 2015, spent last season on Tampa Bay's practice squad. Now that he's back in the fold, the 32-year-old will remain in the team's backup QB mix along with 2021 second-rounder Kyle Trask behind returning starter Tom Brady.

The 31-year-old did not attempt a pass last season as the third quarter, and with head coach Bruce Arians having previous experience with last season's No. 2 Blaine Gabbert, it appears Griffin could be headed to another year of perpetual inactive status if he does stick on the roster.
