Impact Bateman was a full participant in Wednesday's session, so it appears as though the wideout may have tweaked his back during Thursday's practice. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Bateman heads into Sunday's game against the Browns with an injury designation or cleared for Week 10 action. If he's out of limited this weekend, added snaps would be available for Nelson Agholor and Devin Duvernay in a Baltimore WR corps that also includes Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham.

Impact Baltimore was not explosive through the air Sunday with just 217 combined passing yards between Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. Aside from Mark Andrews, no Baltimore pass-catcher had significant production. Bateman logged 56 percent of the snaps on offense, a slight dip from Week 8 in Arizona, though it's worth noting that the Ravens emptied the bench late in the game. Bateman's five targets marked a new season-high, so even with the meager production Sunday, he does seem to be carving out a larger role as the season progresses. Baltimore hosts Cleveland in Week 10.

Showing signs of progress Bateman caught both of his targets for 34 yards Sunday against the Cardinals and added an 18-yard rush.
Impact Though the target volume remains underwhelming, Bateman is quietly turning a corner with his efficiency. In the three games since his tough outing against the Steelers in Week 5, Bateman has caught six of eight targets for 85 yards (10.6 YPT) and showed some burst after the catch in one instance Sunday. It's also worth noting that Bateman played 63 percent of the snaps Sunday, which was his highest mark since Week 3 when he tweaked his hamstring. A fully healthy Bateman improving his catch rate and explosiveness could pay fantasy dividends before too long. The Ravens host the Seahawks in Week 9.

Impact Given Bateman's slow start to the season, Sunday marked significant improvement for the 2021 first-rounder. He may not have had a high target share, but Bateman was efficient with his opportunities and notched a new season high in yardage. Bateman played more snaps than Nelson Agholor, so it will be interesting to see if that's the start of a trend going forward. The Ravens take on the Cardinals in Arizona in Week 8.

Minor impact Sunday Bateman caught two of three targets for 15 yards Sunday in the Ravens' 24-16 win over the Titans.
Impact Bateman played roughly 50 percent of Baltimore's offensive snaps and yet he drew just 10 percent of Baltimore's targets as he continues to have a minor role in the passing game. He has not eclipsed more than 30 yards in any game since the opener, and his one target that did not result in a catch ultimately resulted in an interception on an apparent miscommunication. Bateman and the Ravens return home to face the Lions in Week 7, and though Bateman continues to play a decent chunk of snaps, there aren't signs pointing to his receiving production having a massive uptick going forward.
