Moves to Windy City The Bears and Zaccheaus have agreed to terms of a contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Impact Zaccheaus had a bounceback with Washington last year, forming a nice pairing with rookie QB Jayden Daniels to the tune of 45 catches for 506 yards and three touchdowns on 64 targets over 20 games between the regular season and playoffs. With veteran WR Keenan Allen hitting free agency this week, Zaccheaus will fill the opening left behind alongside DJ Moore and Rome Odunze while getting to work with another signal-caller from the 2024 class in Caleb Williams.
MARCH 13, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Quiet in playoffs Zaccheaus finished the 2024 regular season with 45 catches for 506 yards and three touchdowns on 64 targets, then added seven catches for 45 yards on 10 targets in three playoff ga...
Impact Zaccheaus was Washington's third or fourth WR for most of the year, and he came on strong at the end of the regular season, with the final three games accounting for 41 percent of his receiving yardage (206) and all three TDs. He had far less success in the playoffs, while teammate Dyami Brown had 229 receiving yards in the three games -- nearly as many as his total from the regular season (308). Both Zaccheaus and Brown are scheduled to become unrestricted free agents this offseason, and the same goes for fellow veterans Noah Brown (kidney), Jamison Crowder and K.J. Osborn. That leaves Terry McLaurin and Luke McCaffrey as the only Washington wideouts under contract for 2025, which could put the team in the market for a major upgrade via free agency and/or the draft. If Zaccheaus returns, he'll likely be somewhere between third and fifth on the depth chart.
JANUARY 28, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Set to play Sunday Zaccheaus (hip) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's NFC Championship Game at Philadelphia.
Impact Zaccheaus made a brief exit from this past Saturday's divisional-round win in Detroit due to a groin injury, but he was listed with a hip issue this week, resulting in limited practices both Wednesday and Thursday. After Friday's full session, though, he's ready ahead of Sunday's contest. In two regular-season appearances against the Eagles this season, Zaccheaus hauled in six of 10 targets for 80 yards and two touchdowns.

Remains limited Thursday Zaccheaus (hip) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
Impact Zaccheaus maintained his activity level from Wednesday, giving him just one more opportunity to return to full participation this week or else risk heading into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's NFC Championship Game at Philadelphia. In two regular-season matchups with the Eagles, he combined for a 6-80-2 line on 10 targets.
JANUARY 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Limited in practice Wednesday Zaccheaus (hip) was limited in practice Wednesday.
Impact Zaccheaus briefly exited Washington's divisional-round win over Detroit due to what was listed as a hip injury, but he ultimately retook the field, though he failed to secure either of his two targets. Now, Zaccheaus will have two more chances to upgrade his participation level at practice, and gain clearance to suit up alongside Terry McLaurin, Dyami Brown, Jamison Crowder and Luke McCaffrey for Sunday's NFC Championship Game on the road at Philadelphia.
JANUARY 22, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Back in Saturday's game Zaccheaus (groin) returned to Saturday's divisional-round contest in Detroit, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Impact Zaccheaus was deemed questionable to return late in the first half due to a groin injury but rejoined his teammates on the Commanders' second possession after halftime. He'll rejoin a receiving composed of Terry McLaurin, Dyami Brown, Jamison Crowder and Luke McCaffrey.
JANUARY 19, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Injures groin Saturday Zaccheaus suffered a groin injury during Saturday's divisional-round contest at Detroit.
Impact Prior to his exit late in the second quarter, Zaccheaus hadn't hauled in either of his two targets. As long as Zaccheaus is sidelined, Dyami Brown, Jamison Crowder and Luke McCaffrey will be the available wide receivers behind top option Terry McLaurin.
JANUARY 19, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Catches three passes for 19 yards Zaccheaus caught each of his three targets for 19 yards in a 23-20 win at Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Impact Zaccheaus finished second among Washington's wide receivers in snap share (68 percent), slightly ahead of Dyami Brown, who took 58 percent of snaps and caught each of his five targets for 89 yards and a touchdown. Zaccheaus out-produced Brown in each of the final three games of the regular season, catching 15 of 22 targets for 206 yards and three touchdowns during that stretch, so both figure to be involved in the offense during Washington's next playoff game Saturday at Detroit.
JANUARY 13, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Two grabs in season finale Zaccheaus caught two of five targets for 51 yards in Sundays 23-19 win over the Cowboys.
Impact Zaccheaus cooled off quite a bit in Week 18 after a string of strong performances in recent weeks. The wideouts two catches counted for his lowest reception total since Week 12. Zaccheaus became an important part of the Commanders' passing attack to close the season, finishing the year with 45 receptions for 506 yards and three touchdowns. With that said, the 27-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason after only one season with Washington. His growing chemistry with quarterback Jayden Daniels could lead the Commanders to offering him another contract this offseason. If not, Zaccheaus will hit the market in 2025 in search of a new landing spot.
JANUARY 7, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Continues late-season surge Zaccheaus caught eight of nine targets for 85 receiving yards and a touchdown while adding eight rushing yards on his lone attempt in Sunday's overtime win over Atlanta.
Impact Zaccheaus followed up last week's impressive two-score showing with another strong fantasy performance in Week 17. The former Falcon set a new career-high in receiving yards (540) against his old club following Sunday's output. Zaccheaus' recent string of strong play has put the receiver on the map in most formats for a Week 18 matchup against the Cowboys next Sunday.

Two TDs in comeback win Zaccheaus caught five of eight targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 36-33 win over the Eagles.
Impact The veteran wideout came into the day with zero TDs on the season, but Zaccheaus was a huge part of a dramatic comeback victory, catching scores of four and 49 yards from Jayden Daniels in the fourth quarter, two of five passing TDs on the day for the rookie QB. Dyami Brown also left Sunday's game late with a hamstring injury, which could put Zaccheaus in line for a bigger role in Week 17 against the Falcons, and potentially a second straight revenge game -- he spent 2023 with Philly after his first four NFL campaign came with Atlanta.

Jayden Daniels throws for 5 TDs as the Commanders end the Eagles' winning streak at 10

Jayden Daniels threw his fifth touchdown pass of the game with 6 seconds left to give the Washington Commanders a 36-33 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles
DECEMBER 22, 2024 • Associated Press
Three receptions in win Zaccheaus caught three of four targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 20-19 win over the Saints.
Impact Zaccheaus played just under 50 percent of Washington's 78 offensive snaps Sunday while operating as the Commanders' No. 3 wide receiver behind Terry McLaurin and Dyami Brown. The veteran wideout caught three passes for the second-straight week, but he was unable to turn those touches into significant fantasy production. Zaccheaus should continue to be ignored for fantasy fantasy purposes as the season approaches its conclusion. The Commanders host the Eagles in Week 16.
