Bobby Okereke - Racks up 14 stops against Steelers Okereke totaled 14 tackles (seven solo), including 0.5 sacks, while also forcing and recovering a fumble in a loss to Pittsburgh on Monday Night Football in Week 8.
Impact Okereke was all over the place Monday, finishing with more tackles than any player on the field by a considerable margin. His biggest play came in the latter portion of the fourth quarter, as he combined with Micah McFadden on a sack of a scrambling Russell Wilson, punched the ball out of the QB's grasp and recovered the fumble himself. The double-digit tackle effort was the first of the season for Okereke after he logged seven such performances last year.

Azeez Ojulari - Registers two more sacks Ojulari tallied seven tackles (three solo), including 2.0 sacks, in Monday's loss to Pittsburgh.
Impact Ojulari tied for third on New York in tackles with a season-high total. The edge rusher has been a force since taking over in a starting role Week 6 for Kayvon Thibodeaux, who is on IR due to a wrist injury. Ojulari has has racked up 14 tackles, including 5.0 sacks, over the three-game span, which could either lead to a continued significant role even upon Thibodeaux's eventual return or a spike in his trade value if New York elects to shop him.

Greg Joseph - Makes all four FG attempts Week 8 Joseph went 4-for-4 on field-goal tries and didn't attempt an extra point Monday in a loss to the Steelers.
Impact Joseph provided all of the first-half scoring for the Giants, making field goals from 29, 39 and 44 yards out. He added to his ledger with a 48-yarder with just over five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to bring New York to within eight points. The veteran kicker had gone 1-for-3 on field-goal attempts over the previous two weeks, highlighting how unpredictable his opportunities can be as part of a Giants offense that is averaging the second-fewest points per game in the league. Joseph's hold on New York's placekicker role is also unsteady, as Graham Gano -- who is on IR due to a hamstring injury -- is eligible to return and will likely do so as soon as he is back to health.
OCTOBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Theo Johnson - Draws four targets Week 8 Johnson secured three of four targets for 35 yards in Monday's loss to the Steelers.
Impact Johnson didn't have a pass thrown his way Week 7 versus Philadelphia, but he got back on track with his second-highest yardage total of the season on Monday Night Football. The bulk of his production came on New York's final drive, as he caught a 25-yard pass from QB Daniel Jones with just over a minute remaining in the game, then nabbed a three-yard reception on the next play. Those catches came as the Giants attempted to march down the field and tie the score, but Jones was intercepted on a second-down pass attempt, squelching any hope of a comeback. Johnson ended up logging a season-high 97 percent of the team's offensive snaps in the loss, and with at least three catches and at least 30 receiving yards in three of his past four games, he's built some fantasy intrigue in deeper leagues.

QB Stock Market Week 9: Jalen Hurts looks like old self. Anthony Richardson looks young
Deonte Banks - Remains starter after benching Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Tuesday that Banks will remain a starter at cornerback despite having been benched during Monday's 26-18 loss to the Steelers, Dan Duggan of Th...
Impact Daboll indicated that Banks remains a starter for New York, but that the team is still deciding what role he will play Week 9 versus the Commanders, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports. The second-year cornerback has demonstrated issues finishing tackles throughout the 2024 campaign, and his effort level looked visibly lackluster at times in Monday's loss, including a near touchdown given up to George Pickens, though the potential score was overturned by replay. Through eight appearances this season, Banks has racked up 32 tackles (34 solo), six passes defensed and one forced fumble.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. - Concussion confirmed Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Tuesday that Tracy is in the concussion protocol after suffering the brain injury in Monday's 26-18 loss to the Steelers, Pat Leonard of the New...
Impact Tracy exited the contest with just over four minutes left in the fourth quarter after he appeared to slam his head on the field. The rookie didn't return for the Giants' final possession, with Daboll confirming that Tracy sustained a concussion on the play in question. After the Monday night game, the Giants will be facing a quick turnaround for Week 9 with a matchup with the Commanders on tap for Sunday, so Tracy could face an uphill battle to clear the five-step protocol. Tracy appears to have solidified himself as the Giants' lead back after carrying 20 times for 145 yards and a touchdown to go with two catches for five yards in the Week 8 loss, but if Tracy is unable to play against Washington, Devin Singletary would presumably step back in as the team's starter.

Daniel Jones - Staying in starting role Head coach Brian Daboll said Tuesday that Jones will remain the Giants' starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Impact After turning the ball over just once while completing 67.6 percent of his passes for 7.0 yards per attempt from Weeks 2 through 6, Jones has regressed over the past three games, all of which were losses in which the Giants failed to score more than 20 points. Though Daboll remains committed to Jones as the team's starter for Week 9, the 27-year-old may be on a shorter leash coming off a poor showing in the Giants' 26-18 loss to the Steelers on Monday, when he took four sacks and completed 24 of 38 passes for 264 yards, no touchdowns and one interception while also losing a fumble. In addition to his recent stretch of substandard play, Jones' contract situation could also lead to his benching at some point down the road. He will be fully guaranteed $23 million for 2025 if he gets injured or is unable to pass a physical this offseason, so the Giants could have some motivation to hold him out if they decide Jones isn't their long-term solution at quarterback.

Devin Singletary - Minimal role again Monday Singletary rushed twice for 11 yards and secured two of three targets for 12 yards in the Giants' 26-18 loss to the Steelers on Monday night.
Impact As his scant workload indicates, Singletary took a clear back seat to rookie Tyrone Tracy (head), who excelled with 145 rushing yards and a touchdown on 20 carries despite exiting the game twice with injuries. Singletary saw only five carries in his Week 7 return from a groin injury after Tracy impressed during the former's two-game absence, and unless the head injury that forced Tracy's second and final exit from the game Monday lingers into Week 9, the minimal role for the veteran back should continue against the Commanders in Sunday's divisional battle.

Calvin Austin III scores twice as the Steelers hold off the Giants 26-18
Wan'Dale Robinson - Fills usual short-area role Robinson secured all five targets for 30 yards in the Giants' 26-18 loss to the Steelers on Monday night.
Impact Robinson finished second in receptions on the night for the Giants, but that led to modest yardage in the receiver's typical short-area role. Robinson has at least five receptions in six straight games, but the fact he's exceeded 50 receiving yards just twice in that span underscores his fantasy viability is largely limited to full PPR formats.
OCTOBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Darius Slayton - Hits for another long gain Monday Slayton brought in four of seven targets for 108 yards in the Giants' 26-18 loss to the Steelers on Monday night.
Impact Slayton led the Giants in receiving yards with his second-highest total of the campaign. The veteran wideout also commanded a lot more of Daniel Jones' attention after logging only one target in Week 7, and Slayton now has a combined 29 looks in three of the past four contests. The speedster could still thrive if embattled head coach Brian Daboll opts to make a change at quarterback from Jones to Drew Lock heading into a Week 9 home matchup against the Commanders, considering Lock has shown a willingness to throw deep throughout his career.
OCTOBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Daniel Jones - Late turnovers seal loss Jones completed 24 of 38 passes for 264 yards with no touchdowns and one interception and rushed three times for one yard in the Giants' 26-18 loss to the Steelers on Monday night....
Impact Jones' final yardage total was more than adequate and was partly comprised of an impressive 43-yard strike to Darius Slayton in the first half. However, the embattled veteran signal-caller doomed the Giants' comeback attempts on two occasions during the latter portion of the fourth quarter, fumbling at the Steelers' 27-yard line on a sack by T.J. Watt and then overthrowing Devin Singletary at the nearly the same spot on the field with 34 seconds remaining, resulting in a game-sealing interception for Pittsburgh. Jones has now gone three straight games without a touchdown pass while also throwing a pair of picks in that span, and a switch to Drew Lock could be afoot ahead of a Week 9 home matchup against the surging Commanders.

Malik Nabers - Seven catches in prime time loss Nabers secured seven of 13 targets for 71 yards in the Giants' 26-18 loss to the Steelers on Monday night.
Impact Nabers paced the Giants in targets by a wide margin while also serving as the team leader in receptions. The rookie receiver took a positive step after a lackluster 4-41 line against the Eagles in his Week 7 return from a two-game absence due to a concussion, but Nabers appears likely to be blocked from maximizing his considerable talents on most weeks due to the Giants' quarterback situation. Nabers next opportunity comes in a Week 9 home matchup against an improving Commanders defense.
OCTOBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Tyrone Tracy Jr. - Exits to locker room Tracy exited Monday's matchup with the Steelers late in the fourth quarter after suffering an apparent head injury, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Impact Tracy likely went to he medical tent after getting hitting his head on the field to be checked for a concussion. He subsequently left for the locker room. The injury comes after a big night where he assumed RB1 duties for the Giants ahead of Devin Singletary. Tracy accumulated 145 rushing yards and one touchdown on 20 carries before exiting.
OCTOBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Tyrone Tracy Jr. - Returns Monday Tracy (shoulder) returned to start the second half in Monday's matchup with the Steelers, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Impact Tracy was shaken up towards the end of the first half and subsequently drew a questionable designation at halftime. However, he has gotten the green light to start the third quarter. The running back had seemingly taken the RB1 duties from Devin Singletary in the first half, recording nine carries to Singletary's one.
OCTOBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Tyrone Tracy Jr. - Questionable to return Tracy is considered questionable to return to Monday's matchup with the Steelers due to a shoulder injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Tracy had 9 carries for 35 yards compared to Devin Singletary's one rush for seven yards prior to exiting. However, was shaken up late in the first half, and his return is questionable as a result. Singletary would presumably take on RB1 responsibilities should Tracy be unable to return.

Cor'Dale Flott - No go for MNF Flott (groin) is inactive for Monday Night Football against the Steelers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Flott was able to log two limited practice sessions late in the week, but he'll ultimately be forced to sit as a result of a groin injury. In his absence, Tre Hawkins will step into a more significant role in New York's secondary.
