Impact He was a limited practice participant Thursday and a full participant Friday, while Daniel Jones (neck) remained limited but never was expected to play in any case. Glennon may have Sterling Shepard (questionable/quad) back in the slot this week, with wideout Kenny Golladay (questionable/ribs) also tentatively expected to play. Kadarius Toney, meanwhile, will be out for at least one more week with an oblique injury, unable to do much after returning to practice Thursday and Friday.

On track for start Coach Joe Judge said Friday that Glennon (concussion) is "on track" to clear concussion protocol and start Sunday's game against the Chargers, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Glennon will get the nod if he's cleared, as expected, while Jake Fromm will make his first NFL start if the veteran can't progress through concussion protocol before Sunday. Impact Glennon came out of Week 13 action with a concussion, but his return to the field in some capacity Thursday indicates a modicum of progress through the protocol for head injuries. Coach Joe Judge relayed as much, telling Tom Rock of Newsday that Glennon is "moving in the right direction," and there's an expectation he logs every rep at Friday's padded session. Assuming he gets through it all unscathed and gains clearance from an independent neurologist, Glennon will earn a second consecutive start in place of Daniel Jones (neck) this weekend. If not, though, the Giants will turn to Jake Fromm for his first action as a pro.

However, he'll now have to clear protocol if he hopes to start under center in a Week 14 matchup against the Chargers. As for his Week 13 performance, Glennon struggled to get the offense moving, as he completed only 23 of his 44 passes for 187 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Despite taking to the air frequently, Glennon managed to complete only one pass of 20 yards or more while also failing to lead the team to any touchdowns. Whether Glennon or Jake Fromm is under center in Week 14 against the Chargers, it will be difficult to trust any Giants skill position players besides Saquon Barkley given the current state of their offense.
