Impact Meiga was on track to spend the entire 2026 season on IR, but he'll now hit free agency instead. The rookie undrafted free agent out of Coastal Carolina will be eligible to suit up for any team willing to sign him once he's back in football shape.

Impact The Panthers waived/injured Meiga on Sunday, and the wide receiver went unclaimed throughout the waiver process. Meiga will now spend the entirety of the 2026 season on injured reserve unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

Impact Meiga signed a contract with the Panthers in early June. If the undrafted free agent out of Coastal Carolina clears waivers, he will revert to the team's injured reserve, where he will spend the entirety of the 2026 season unless he is waived with an injury settlement. The wide receiver was waived to make room on the roster for quarterback Kyle Trask, who was signed Sunday in a corresponding move.
