Steve Avila - Dealing with ankle sprain Avila suffered a sprained ankle during Sunday's win over the Texans, Wyatt Miller of the Rams' official site reports.
Impact Avila is now considered to be week-to-week after having exited Sunday's matchup in the second quarter before returning in the fourth quarter. Head coach Sean McVay said there's a chance Avila could be ready for the team's Week 2 matchup versus the Titans and will know more about his status following Wednesday's projected workloads. If he ends up being unable to play, Justin Dedich will likely start at left guard in his place.

Byron Young - Gets to Stroud in Week 1 Young logged nine tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, during Sunday's 14-9 win over Houston.
Impact Young was one of three Rams players to record a sack Sunday, with his takedown of C.J. Stroud early in the second quarter leading to a Texans punt two plays later. Young logged 15.5 sacks over the first two years of his NFL career, and the 2023 third-rounder is expected to play a prominent role in the Rams' pass rush alongside fellow edge rusher Jared Verse.
SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Kam Curl - Stays busy vs. Houston Curl logged 10 tackles (eight solo) during the Rams' 14-9 win over the Texans on Sunday.
Impact Curl was one of two Rams players to play all 63 defensive snaps and he co-led the team in combined tackles with Nate Landman. It was the 10th time in Curl's career that he has logged at least 10 combined tackles in a game, six of which have come since Week 4 of the 2023 season. The 2020 seventh-rounder is in the final year of his two-year, $9 million contract that he signed with the Rams in March of 2024.
SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Terrance Ferguson - Could be in line for more work Ferguson played five snaps on special teams during Sunday's 14-9 win against the Texans.
Impact Despite the second-round pedigree, Ferguson's first action of his NFL career was spent on the bench when the Rams were on offense, failing to secure a single snap. Colby Parkinson (shoulder) had a rough day however, turning two catches into negative six yards and losing a fumble, while also sustaining a sprained AC joint in the victory. This may open the door for Ferguson to earn some snaps on offense in Week 2 alongside Tyler Higbee and Davis Allen, although a Titans defense that has been tough on tight ends under defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson may not be the most ideal setting for a breakout.
SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Nate Landman - Seals Week 1 win with fumble Landman registered 10 tackles (six solo) and one forced fumble during the Rams' 14-9 win over the Texans on Sunday.
Impact Landman played 62 of the Rams' 63 defensive snaps Sunday and co-led the team in tackles with Kameron Curl. Landman made arguably the most crucial play of the game, when he punched the ball out of Dare Ogunbowale's hands late in the fourth quarter, which Braden Fiske jumped on to seal the Week 1 win for the Rams. Sunday marked the fifth time in his career that Landman's logged at least 10 combined tackles in a game, and he's expected to play a key role in the Rams' defense after spending the last three seasons with the Falcons.
SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Tyler Higbee - Invisible in victory Higbee played 35 snaps on offense during Sunday's 14-9 win against the Texans.
Impact For the first time since a Week 9 contest against Green Bay in 2023, the veteran tight end was held without a catch, and failed to even see a target from Matthew Stafford. Higbee was on the field most out of the team's tight ends (35 of 60 snaps versus 29 for Colby Parkinson and 22 for Davis Allen), but Parkinson and Allen recorded catches and Allen scored what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown in the third quarter. It'll be hard to trust any tight end for the Rams in fantasy given the amount of attention Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams command for the offense, and a Week 2 contest against a Titans defense that held the Broncos' tight ends in check last week doesn't bode well for a potential rebound.
SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Konata Mumpfield - Held without a catch Mumpfield recorded six snaps on offense and two snaps on special teams during Sunday's 14-9 win against the Texans.
Impact Eight different players saw targets from Matthew Stafford on Sunday, but only Mumpfield and Jordan Whittington (who did have a five-yard rush) failed to record a target out of the Rams' group of wideouts. Given Mumpfield's rookie status, this isn't a real surprise, but fantasy managers hoping to see what the seventh-rounder can do in regular season action may be waiting for a while given Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Jordan Whittington and Tutu Atwell's commanding snap share through one game.

Rams' improving defense continues last season's late surge with dominant performance in opener

Xavier Smith - One long catch in limited duty Smith caught his only target for 36 yards and returned two punts for 21 yards during Sunday's 14-9 victory against the Texans.
Impact Despite Smith's role appearing to remain the exact same from last year to present, he managed to make the most of his pair of snaps on offense. Smith caught a deep ball from Matthew Stafford in the third quarter for 36 yards, a key play on the Rams second and final touchdown drive of the day. Despite the impressive catch, Smith's value for the Rams will likely remain on special teams for the duration of the season, with the Titans next up on the docket in Week 2.

Kevin Dotson - Considered week-to-week Dotson has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle and is considered week-to-week, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.
Impact Both Dotson and starting LG Steve Avila exited Week 1 against the Texans with ankle injuries. Avila was able to return, but Dotson appears to be looking at some missed time. Beaux Limmer would be the next man up at right guard for the Rams.

Jordan Whittington - Contributes on special teams Whittington rushed once for five yards and returned two kicks for 60 yards during Sunday's 14-9 win against the Texans.
Impact The second-year wideout was a victim of bad luck in his first game of the season; he had a lengthy 74-yard kick return called back on a holding penalty and a 34-yard reception called back on another holding penalty. Whittington was on the field for half of the Rams' snaps on offense, a noticeable bump over his usage in the second half of his rookie campaign and slightly more than Tutu Atwell. The duo are seemingly still battling for the No. 3 wideout spot on the depth chart heading into a Week 2 contest against a Titans defense that just limited the Broncos to 176 receiving yards in Week 1.

NFL Heat Index Week 1: New-Look Raiders Shine; Who Put Themselves on the Hot Seat?
Tutu Atwell - Makes just one catch Atwell secured his only target for four yards during Sunday's 14-9 victory against the Texans.
Impact The speedster didn't get many opportunities to showcase why the Rams brought him back on a one-year, $10 million contract this season, only taking the field for 25 of the Rams' 60 snaps on offense. More worrying for Atwell's future usage is Jordan Whittington taking 30 snaps on offense and having a role on special teams. In 2024, when Atwell's usage was significantly reduced after Week 7, he recorded just a 14-193-0 line between Weeks 8 and 17. If Atwell drops to fourth on the depth chart, lines like this week would likely become the norm, something to monitor as the Rams travel to face the Titans in Week 2.
SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Blake Corum - Logs two touches in backup role Corum rushed once for two yards and secured his only target for 14 yards during Sunday's 14-9 victory against the Texans.
Impact The second-year back started his 2025 campaign in a similar fashion to his role at the end of his rookie year, seeing the field for just ten snaps and making little impact on the game. Notably, Jarquez Hunter (coach's decision) was inactive for the game, while Cody Schrader was only used on special teams, leaving the backup role to Kyren Williams seemingly Corum's to lose. The Rams next contest is against a Titans squad that allowed 153 yards rushing to the Broncos in Week 1.
SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Colby Parkinson - Diagnosed with sprained AC joint Parkinson (shoulder) suffered a sprained AC joint in Sunday's 14-9 win over the Texans, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Parkinson played through the injury after briefly getting checked out in the locker room during the first half. While Tyler Higbee paced the Rams' tight ends in playing time with 35 offensive snaps, Parkinson was in on 29, while Davis Allen saw 22 plays. Rookie Terrance Ferguson played just five snaps on special teams. Parkinson turned his two targets into two catches for negative-six yards and one lost fumble. It remains to be seen if he'll miss any time with the injury.
