Off COVID-19 list, back practicing Fotu was removed from the COVID-19 list Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Impact Fotu was listed as a close contact to a player who caught COVID-19, so he was cleared quickly after a few negative tests. The second-year defensive tackle appeared in 11 games last season, registering 11 tackles and one sack. He will likely compete with Zach Allen as the primary backup behind J.J. Watt and Jordan Phillips.

Impact Fotu was listed as a close contact to a player who caught COVID-19, so he had to be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The second-year defensive tackle appeared in 11 games last season, tallying 11 tackles and one sack. Any time he's forced to miss should give undrafted rookie Cam Murray more chances to earn a roster spot with the Cardinals.
