Suiting up at Green Bay The Jets elevated Yeboah from the practice squad to their active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game at the Packers.

Impact It will be the second game this season Yeboah is active for the Jets. After Week 6, he will only be eligible for one more elevation from the practice squad before he would have to be signed to the team's 53-man roster in order to play.

Returns to practice squad Yeboah reverted to the Jets' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Impact Yeboah earned the opportunity to suit up in Sunday's win over the Browns with C.J. Uzomah (hamstring) inactive. Although he only saw two snaps on offense, he did contribute regularly on special teams, earning an assisted tackle while on punt coverage. Depending on Uzomah's status for Week 3, Yeboah could earn another opportunity Sunday against the Bengals.

Heads to active roster The Jets elevated Yeboah from the practice squad to their active roster Saturday for Sunday's game against the Browns.

Impact Yeboah didn't make the initial 53-man roster but inked a practice-squad deal at the beginning of September. He'll get his first look on the active roster, but it's unclear what his role will be. C.J. Uzomah (hamstring) is unlikely to play and Jeremy Ruckert was a healthy scratch for Week 1, but Tyler Conklin and Lawrence Cager are still expected to garner the majority of the tight-end snaps.

Two catches in rookie season Yeboah caught two of three targets for 36 yards as a rookie in 2021.

Impact The undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss spent most of the season on the Jets' practice squad but got some playing time down the stretch after injuries ravaged New York's tight end depth chart. Both of his catches came in Week 17. Yeboah will look to secure a spot on the 53-man roster in camp next season, but his chances of doing so will hinge on what the Jets do to address the tight end position in the offseason in addition to his own improvement.

Two catches as team's top TE Yeboah caught both of his targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 28-24 loss to Tampa Bay.

Impact Yeboah came off the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in the week and immediately jumped to the top of the Jets' tight end depth chart with Tyler Kroft entering COVID protocol himself. The undrafted rookie out of Ole Miss registered his first two catches here in what was his eighth NFL game, but this was just the second time Yeboah actually got to play snaps on offense.

Clears COVID protocols Yeboah (illness) activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.

Impact Yeboah was signed to the active roster before Week 10 and has mostly appeared on special teams. However, with Tyler Kroft on the reserve/COVID-19 list and Ryan Griffin (knee) Trevon Wesco (knee) on injured reserve, Yeboah could be returning at an opportune time. If Kroft doesn't clear the NFL's return-to-play protocols in time for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Yeboah could find himself in a starting role.

Enters COVID protocols Yeboah (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list after testing positive for COVID, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Impact Yeboah has worked his way up the Jets' tight end positional depth chart this season, starting on the practice squad but ultimately appearing in seven games so far. The undrafted rookie will try to get healthy, so he can return to the field and achieve his first career catch.

DECEMBER 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE

Could play more due to injuries Yeboah failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 33-18 loss to the Eagles.

Impact Yeboah's still looking for his first NFL catch, but the undrafted rookie tight end could be thrust into a more prominent role moving forward. Tyler Kroft (chest) is on injured reserve and Ryan Griffin exited the loss to Philadelphia with an ankle injury, joining Trevon Wesco (ankle) on the sidelines. As a result of injuries at the position, it's conceivable that the Jets' depth at tight end in Week 14 against the Saints will consist of just Yeboah and journeyman special teams contributor Daniel Brown.

No offensive snaps in debut Yeboah didn't see the field on offense in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Falcons.

Impact Yeboah's action in his NFL debut consisted of just five special teams snaps. The rookie tight end doesn't seem ready to meaningfully contribute, even if Tyler Kroft (back) ends up missing more time.

OCTOBER 11, 2021 • ROTOWIRE

Will be gameday elevation Coach Robert Saleh said Friday that Yeboah will be elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's contest against the Falcons, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Impact Yeboah will get a chance to make his NFL debut after Tyler Kroft (back) was ruled out for Week 5. The Ole Miss product had a strong finish to the preseason, catching four passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns -- including a 49-yard Hail Mary score -- during the Jets' final exhibition contest. Despite the preseason heroics, the 22-year-old will likely have a very limited role against Atlanta on Sunday.

Cut by Jets Yeboah was waived by the Jets on Tuesday, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.

Impact Yeboah had a strong finish to the preseason with four catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns -- including a 49-yard Hail May score -- Friday against the Eagles, but he didn't make the Jets' initial 53-man roster. New York hopes to bring back the rookie UDFA out of Ole Miss on the practice squad, but he'll need to pass through waivers unclaimed.

AUGUST 31, 2021 • ROTOWIRE

Ties game with Hail Mary Yeboah caught four of five targets for 100 yards and two touchdowns in Friday's game against the Eagles.

Impact The undrafted rookie out of Ole Miss caught a 21-yard TD pass midway through the fourth quarter before tying the game at the end of regulation with a 49-yard score on a Hail Mary (followed by a Josh Adams two-point conversion). It may not have been enough for Yeboah to earn a spot on the Week 1 roster, but he'll at least be in the conversation for the practice squad. He did find a good landing spot after the draft, as the Jets' tight ends are among the worst in the league, with Tyler Kroft, Chris Herndon and Ryan Griffin competing for snaps at the moment. A spot on the practice squad could lead to playing time in the not-too-distant future.
