Impact McIntosh is reportedly being pushed for the third spot on the depth chart by Geroge Holani, though he got the better end of that competition Saturday. With Kenneth Walker resting and Zach Chabronnet (undisclosed) unavailable, McIntosh got the first touch out of the backfield and also led the team in both attempts and rushing yards. In addition to just the volume, McIntosh showed some impressive physicality and had a long gain of 12 yards on the ground while also tacking on a 10-yard reception.

Impact McIntosh seemed like the front-runner for the role heading into the offseason, but Holani has stood out in preseason as a rusher and a blocker and could claim the job. Last season, Mcintosh didn't play an offensive snap as he was stuck behind Kenneth Walker, Zach Charbonnet and DeeJay Dallas. The No. 3 role isn't expected to provide much fantasy utility as long as Walker and Charbonnet are healthy.

Impact McIntosh dealt with a plethora of injuries during his rookie season, including a thumb issue that held him out of the Seahawks' 2023 season finale against the Cardinals, but it now seems as if he's back to full health. The 2023 third-round pick appeared in just three games last year, failing to record a single carry while playing 13 total snaps (all on special teams). Now that McIntosh is healthy ahead of Seattle's offseason programs, he's got a chance to become the Seahawks' primary third-down back, playing behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.

He logged three full practices last week but wasn't activated ahead of Sunday's loss to Baltimore, though head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that the rookie running back "possibly could" make his NFL debut this coming Sunday against Washington, per Boyle. McIntosh's chances of playing Week 10 would increase if DeeJay Dallas, who sat out practice Wednesday due to a shoulder injury, isn't able to suit up.
