INJURIES

Limited to kick off week Walker (oblique) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Impact Going back to last week, Walker has put together back-to-back capped sessions as he draws closer to completing his recovery from the oblique injury that he suffered Week 1 against the Broncos. According to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times, Walker was in pads and had his helmet during warmups Thursday. The Seahawks have a pair of practices remaining during Week 4 prep in which Walker can demonstrate his health before the Seahawks may give him a designation ahead of Monday's game at Detroit. If he's able to return, there's a chance he could split reps with No. 2 RB Zach Charbonnet, though Walker has averaged 16.9 touches per game in two-plus seasons as a pro.
SEPTEMBER 26, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive in Week 3 Walker (oblique) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Dolphins.
Impact Considering the Seahawks listed Walker as doubtful to suit up Sunday due to the oblique injury that he suffered in the season opener, it comes as no surprise that he found himself among the team's Week 3 inactives. Having said that, he displayed some progress in his recovery by running on the side during warmups Thursday and officially returning to practice Friday as a limited participant. Nevertheless, Walker again will cede Seattle's backfield to Zach Charbonnet, who handled 67 of 70 offensive snaps last Sunday in New England on his way to 19 touches for 69 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD.

Doubtful despite practice return Walker (oblique) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Miami but he did manage a limited practice Friday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact The return to practice is a good sign for Week 4, if nothing else, and it confirms that fantasy managers planning to start Zach Charbonnet will need to check Seattle's inactive list ahead of a 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday. Walker will have an extra day to get ready the following week, as Seattle faces the Lions on Monday, Sept. 30.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Listed as doubtful Walker (oblique) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Miami, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Walker ran on a side field Thursday but still hasn't practiced since injuring his oblique in the fourth quarter of a Week 1 win over Denver. Fellow Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet took 95 percent of snap on offense in a 23-20 overtime win over the Patriots last week, taking 14 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown while adding five catches for 31 yards. In the highly like event Walker is inactive again, Charbonnet's projected workload will make him a strong option for fantasy lineups even though he's struggled with rushing efficiency and explosiveness to this point in his career.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
No practice again Thursday Walker (oblique) officially didn't practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Walker hasn't taken part in drills since suffering an oblique injury during a Week 1 win against the Broncos, but he may be making some progress in his recovery, as he was spotted running on a side field during warmups prior to Thursday's session, per Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times. Before sitting out Week 2 at New England, Seattle listed him as doubtful to suit up, so the team could take a similar approach when it posts its final practice report of the week Friday. Zach Charbonnet is on hand to man the Seahawks backfield if Walker misses a second consecutive game Sunday versus the Dolphins.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Little activity Thursday Walker (oblique) was seen running on the side during Thursday's practice, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Walker thus seems destined to go down as a non-participant for a second straight session to begin Week 3 prep, giving him just one more chance to practice ahead of the weekend. If Walker misses a second game in a row Sunday against the Dolphins, Zach Charbonnet again will pace the Seahawks backfield.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Still not practicing Walker (oblique) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Walker has yet to log any practice reps since injuring his oblique during the Seahawks' Week 1 win against the Broncos, but he was seen running on a side field Wednesday, per Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune. The development followed coach Mike Macdonald telling Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times prior to the session, "We'll see," regarding the running back taking part in practice this week. Walker has two more chances to do so before Seattle may make a ruling on his availability for Sunday's game versus the Dolphins. Zach Charbonnet had 19 touches for 69 yards from scrimmage and a rushing TD in place of Walker during a Week 2 victory at New England and would be called on again in the event of another absence from the latter.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not playing Week 2 Walker (oblique) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Impact Walker was unable to practice in any fashion Wednesday through Friday due to the ankle injury, which prompted the Seahawks to list him as doubtful heading into game day. With Walker now officially ruled out, Zach Charbonnet is expected to move into a leading role out of the backfield, leaving Kenny McIntosh and practice-squad call-up George Holani to fill depth roles behind him. Walker will turn his focus to shaking off the oblique injury with the hope of returning to action next Sunday versus Miami.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Doubtful for Week 2 Walker (oblique) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game at New England, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Impact Walker was injured during the fourth quarter of a Week 1 win over Denver, after dominating Seattle's backfield snaps and touches over the first 50 minutes of the game. Zach Charbonnet took over in the closing minutes and now figures to make his third career start, with Kenny McIntosh likely getting some touches off the bench. Charbonnet averaged 19.7 touches and 48.7 snaps over a three-game stretch last season when Walker was injured, scoring one TD while averaging 75.3 total yards. It remains to be seen if Walker's absence will lead to a similarly huge workload for Charbonnet under a new coaching staff.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Sits out again Thursday Walker (oblique) missed Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Walker's continued lack of activity this week since injuring his oblique this past Sunday against the Broncos is concerning, to say the least. On the one hand, coach Mike Macdonald told Brady Henderson of ESPN.com on Wednesday that he wants to take Walker's situation day by day, so having the running back focus on rehab versus on-field work makes sense. On the other, Walker now has just one session (Friday) to make his presence felt before Seattle potentially makes a ruling on his availability for Sunday's contest in New England. If Walker is inhibited or out Week 2, Zach Charbonnet would be the Seahawks' primary runner, with Kenny McIntosh and practice-squad member George Holani candidates to get work behind him.

Officially DNP on Wednesday Walker (oblique) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact The Seahawks cited an abdominal injury as the reason Walker was deemed questionable to return during the fourth quarter of this past Sunday's win against the Broncos. Prior to Wednesday's session, coach Mike Macdonald told Brady Henderson of ESPN.com that he wasn't sure if Walker would take part, and the team wants to take the running back's situation day by day. In the end, an oblique issue is the cause of Walker's absence to begin Week 2 prep, and if he ends up limited or sidelined Sunday at New England, Zach Charbonnet would be the primary beneficiary out of Seattle's backfield.
SEPTEMBER 11, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Uncertain to practice Wednesday Coach Mike Macdonald said he isn't sure if Walker (abdomen) will practice Wednesday and wants to take things day by day, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Walker suffered an abdominal injury during the fourth quarter of a 26-20 win over Denver on Sunday, leaving the Seattle backfield in Zach Charbonnet's hands down the stretch. Prior to the final 10 minutes, Walker played 80 percent of snaps and took 20 of the 24 RB carries, handling a much larger role than what he had for most of last season. It appears the new coaching staff in Seattle could do wonders for Walker's fantasy value, but first he'll need to prove he's healthy before a game at New England this Sunday. It sounds like the Seahawks view him as day-to-day and aren't in any rush to provide serious hints about his Week 2 availability.
SEPTEMBER 11, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
No new update from coach Coach Mike Macdonald didn't have a concrete update on Walker (abdomen) on Monday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Impact When addressing the status of Walker -- who suffered an abdominal injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's win over the Broncos -- Macdonald noted Monday that there's "nothing new right now, just taking it day by day with (the running back)." For his part, following the Seahawks' Week 1 contest, Walker said, "I'm good," but his practice participation nonetheless will be worth monitoring ahead of this weekend's game against the Patriots.
